I like that the bosses actually change for their Very Hard difficulties instead of just getting hp/damage boosts but a lot of them end up being very annoying, still I found it cute when Zarth's wife and daughter joined in to help him. Otherwise collecting candy seemed like it would get annoying fast but the minigames help make up for any that you're missing while you're getting books for all your characters and you can always just luk mage or buy them and be set for a while.
As for the minigames I do like them in concept but aside from them needing a multiplayer mode I also wish they had a bit more randomization to them and a bit more on the fly thinking instead of just following a predetermined route, I think there's like 3 doors in the first floor of ch9 minigame that are randomly locked or unlocked, nothing in basement or 2nd floor. Also the 2nd floor of ch9 minigame being completely zombieless feels dumb

I'm not really into the whole 'farm X candied bear asses so you can actually get rewards from the boss' thing, haven't really done many of the bosses because of it. A 300 pattern monster (Cherrimoth) with lv3 Absorb MP takes roughly 45-50 seconds of autoattacking to regen 400MP and then cast Heavy Blow again. This is at 500ASPD so I will check back in when he gets more levels and I pump AGI (he's already pretty fucking tanky for a thoroughly non optimal pet)

These appear to be based on the highest level the pet was when fused, and they're stats you can spend at level 1. I'm pretty sure on top of this you still get points when leveling as normal. If you were to make a stat hulk, THIS is the route to do so.

Spell Burst is mandatory if you deal magic damage. Critical Up is pretty good as it gives both critical rate and damage. The atk/matk and whack/concentrate passives are really minor but they're an option if you have extra skill points and have nothing better to do with them.

actives are rush, goliath and soul reaper with mandatory god hand, control and asura aura buffs to actually make some damage, chariot is optional but welcome
some people claim you can go full agi>mtl and use raw stat crystas for str but i haven't personally tested yet

It's flexible enough to mix and match support skills for defense and fractional damage alongside all other iframes that come naturally with the weapon
In terms of viability I've done all mq with little trouble and people have even soloed Castillia with it

Reunion sword sucks ass with it now, btw, even at full int str

After you get to higher levels and unlock T5 magic it would be better to reset or make new mage (you will have access to that high lvl magic that your main unlocked) and go Int>Str. Lads, I have a problem. I'm trying to get into the game, playing via steam client. After initialisation, I see the screen saying 'Memory error/unauthorized action detected'.

sup i got annoyed with all the ui bullshit you have to go through to get your daily food buffs so I made an ahk v2 utility that lets you just choose the buff from a list and it will do all the menuing to get you to the appropriate land automatically.

Yeah, I have decoy shot on one of my sword and shield builds and it rarely ever sees use. It can be good for a boss that just stays in one spot like Venena but there aren't that many of those. Especially once you're on the Toram bosses and the decoy just gets stunlocked by spikes. Long Range is worth having at least, it does boost your damage on any skill with more than 8m range even if you use it at point blank.
