give it a try, the spell thing not sure what you mean, they slowly drop until lvl200, so every 5-10 levels you can rethink your build as more powerful (at least sometimes) spells show up, or they can change the whole thing kinda rapidly, if you mean dofus has a lot more to choose from, I guess

yeah, jumping around trying to backstab as many as possible while building weak points up to 100 to then get an invis turn right at the npc that can hit your hp >50 in one hit, balancing between huge dmg vs heal to survive to next turn, I just don't get it as sram in dofus (admittedly touch), wakfu can be intense >170, or maybe I just need few 8milly 'boosts' like ebullience, wily +1AP, tricky blow, have another +1AP, just 200 euros for that pay2win just feels wrong (for one setup, go ahead and equip it for all from lvl 20 kek, ankama you greedy kikes!)

i was wondering if you guys knew which of these MMO games is the friendliest to the free to play players.
Can you still grind and sell ur stuff instead of paying the monthly with cash and if so which of them is the best for that? Cheers

True f2p? Wakfu, it's free to play, you can just farm some kamas and then buy the booster ingame, as long as your account is older than 2023, if not you'd have to buy something once to lift the restriction.
It would also be a good time to play it due to the new servers, you'll be able to get the ogrines easier there.
You could technically do it in Dofus but you're too limited without a sub and it would take too long, so you would have to pay the first sub.
Of note, Ogrines purchased with kamas in both games are now linked, so you can't farm in one game to sub to the other anymore.

on wakfu mono servers booster is completely optional as you're not going to solo any dungs (maybe stasis 1), so not even sure why you'd bother to chinkfarm for ogrines there (extra xp/loot chance is not really worth it if you plan on grinding anyway)

You'll make insane money on the neo server for little effort, rifts are disabled so all gear and drops will be worth a lot for some time, there is no reason for a new player to not start there, you could easily sub for a year or something just from playing in the first weeks.

yes and no, everyone is getting the boosted drop rates, did they boost kamas from quests/achievements so people can even afford it? how many kamas are you gonna get just speedrunning the main quest 5x faster? really not sure how even the market is gonna look on a server that is bound to be merged in 3 months, you got a nice epic drop there... who can afford to buy it? Noone's gonna be mining to craft kamas there. will people even buy kama stones, who's gonna have 100s of thousands of spare kamas to buy them? and for what if their main on main servers already got all the standard cosmetics. on the mono server people had couple of years of just grinding dailies and monthly rewards, with thousands of people getting kamas from fights, minting etc etc, there is no way neo server will have natural flow of properly sourced kamas in the economy, so even if you get a nice drop there, you'll have to wait 3 months for a chance to score the kamas from a guy on main servers that has few mil saved, selling drops on neo will be a waste

Treasures immediately inflate the economy with one time source of massive amount of kamas, keep in mind there are no kama sinks in the game other than tax, all the kamas from fights from the collective playerbase add up too. Speaking from experience in the release of ogrest here, you can make a lot of ogrines very easily as the price of kama stones will be low while cost of cutting edge resources will be (relatively) high, literally just play the game, do the quests, do the treasure hunts, sell relic fragments or boss resources with tokens etc, you'll feel rich.
Obviously the prices won't be the same as the server that's years old already, but kamas have far more value in a fresh server.

Wakfus economy works far better in fresh servers, it's bad in old servers because of inflation from lack of actual use for kamas and tokens guaranteeing an influx of resources making them worthless over time, and rifts fuck up the value of too many items.
You'll be able to get actual money from mid level gear and resources in neo, stuff that will sell for nothing in ogrest would sell for hundreds of thousands to millions.

the inflow of kamas in wakfu economy is super slow, fights and minting is the natural way how new kamas are created, you have chinkfarmers running from node to node and getting like 10-20k kamas/h and good luck farming fight kamas, unless ankama starts pumping fakely minted kamas into the eco there's no way people are gonna be able to afford shit, all the treasures up to 200 is like few mil and that's 90% of your budget up to 200 level, how the fuck are you gonna equip your full gear set at that (I guess at least noone's gonna bother with lower sets for dailies on neo?), that's pretty much all your budget, you got a nice drop at lvl50, who cares, by lvl50 ppl will get at most 50k max 100k kamas so who's gonna spend their whole budget on a single item? and if everyone actually speedruns for the exclusive the price will drop very quickly as people level up from 50 and you'll have no buyers left, it's absurdly impossible to have normally working economy on a 3 month temp server
