I'm playing out of my damn mind for the past couple days. I am probably as good at this game as I am ever going to get. Event is good, starting to hate the spiders though. How do you guys kill these things? The butt of your gun is a better weapon than most melee tools.

Martini and romero shorty. Melee variants encouraged.
dusters are helpful.
Stamina shot if you have beast face.
Dauntless grayhound determination quartermaster, beast face if you have extra points.

Fill out the rest of your gear with what you like.

Not the strongest loadout, but will put some hairs on your chest. Very useful if you play between your team mates.If you take beast face just run into the center of the map to set yourself up for an ambush. Clutches with this loadout are the most satisfying.

People think gear matters a lot more than it actually does. A good player has a pretty good chance to kill you even if he has a cheap gun and you have a very expensive one.
A lot of the guns/tools/consumables/traits most people agree are weak are stronger than people give them credit for. Try everything and you will find useful stuff.

the lair is full of lanterns, i just pop them all and run through and tap the remainders
kinda hard with 2 single shot guns though, so uh...

guns and consumables for sure don't matter much, esp with the one hit headshots, although I always bring fmj. though through grinding prestiges recently, i find that tools really make or break a consistent, easy experience in games. its criminal that the decoy fuses are unlocked last

that first game without even throwing knives is painful. I have a friend who played soul survivor every time he prestiged to skip the first few levels.

Loudout: Officer carbine Deadeye, Sparks pistol with double FMJ, Usually carry double weak vitality shots (3 big bars, so I get healed to full as long as I'm more than half way on my last bar) and double wax dynamite.

Incorrect Opinion: I think the dolch needs a minor buff, nothing crazy. up the effective range by 10 meters before the drop off happens.

Incorrect Opinion 2: Flashbombs are----fine.
