It's literally the same gameplay as Mario Galaxy with added multiplayer and without the flying from planetoid to planetoid cutscenes, exiting and entering levels are much quicker as well. It's Mario Galaxy but with a focus on only the gameplay aspect of the galaxy series and none of the 2d segments from the galaxy video games
