It's just the current meta. Weak early means he gets bullied in exp lane. So-so jungle speed, low mobility and ult dependent make him worse than tanky junglers. He's really only a situational pick to counter high mobility assassins

I played with him with a burst build and honestly he's good for disrupting enemy carry with his ult and passive. With one Passive he can deal significant damage to a squishy. But man IS HE SLOW.

the reason why no one plays kaja as much is because there's just better picks in each role. the current meta picks on exp are terizla, julian, yu zhong, ruby. they have great cc while also being able to sustain in long teamfights
in jungle kaja gets outclassed by the other jg heroes imo. while the assassin jungles have natural early damage i find kaja lacks that. i haven't tried tank kaja as a utility jungle either but there's just better utility picks like akai and fredrinn, and besides i don't think he would be able to clear the jungle well at all on tank build because he wouldnt have damage.

if you like kaja, you should play him definitely. it's just he struggles a lot to keep up in this meta (in high elo). Especially without a decent team to support him, and for him to support. he's amazing if you play with people that know what they're doing

He was sometimes used as a support when I last played the game (2+ years ago). His playstyle was too gimmicky for a fighter, he lacked damage and sustain, and was outclassed by newer fighters. So best he could do was act as an alternative to Atlas/Franco as a pull/CC roamer.
Not sure how he is nowadays. I just got back into the game and a lot of heroes and items changed. But last time I played he was one of the worst fighters and supports.

IIRC you only get a few weeks of discount on pre-selected heroes when you create an account. Besides that BP discounts are very rare.
BPs are easy to farm anyways.
Just make sure to not spend BP on heroes which can be unlocked for free or for Tickets.

I was using roam Khufra (to counter fanny), i can't protect my yin doing red buff against solo hilda. i can only watch him die as level 1.
