I was watching a play through of this and noticed how odd the 2D story section animations are. The 3D animations are amazing but the 2D is so bizarre where only the face has animation. There is no live2D body animation - just the face which looks a lot worse than recent games that do live2d and face animations like CounterSide or Nikke

Hate to break it to you all but the GAME just isn’t very good. The character models/animations are pretty much the only S tier thing about this clearly rushed project. Theater as of late is pretty lame. It was more fun when you had to kite and move, whereas now it's just AFK runs except for granny, who we've been fighting for like the past 3 theaters.

I'm usually not into ranking, but I actually enjoyed this pseudo ranking map this time around. No random teleporters, no spawn points to milk, no gates and keys or rubble to gatekeep, no 100-node map spread out over 3 layers. Just simple objectives: collect all the lube, kill everything. It felt very obtainable to my smooth brain, and I think I got max points entirely on my own with no guides.

GFL2 is one of the lowest maintenance games around, you just burn your stamina with instant autobattles, send logistics, collect your free shop gift, and do 3 PVP battles against level 1 opponents. Daily chores definitely aren't that bad, but collapse pieces are still relatively scarce. Not that it matters, since the gacha mechanic sucks anyway. The events are absolutely timesinks, though. GFL wasn't any different in terms of having events stretch out too long, but I just started skipping through the story for those a long time ago. Ok please help me, I'm not just coming in here to shit on gacha games because it's cool to. I genuinely want to understand and enjoy, but I have never been able to get more than 30 mins into one. I downloaded this hoping maybe I could understand and have fun because the art is cute but as a game it is so ass-fucking mind numbingly BORING and I just have to ask: Does it get interesting as a game? I saw a review on the playstore that said this is the best game ever put on mobile and I start it and the first 5 missions are literally select character and tell them to shoot assholes and the assholes die in one shot and there's no possibility of losing unless you are literally two years old.

I AM GENUINELY ASKING: DOES IT GET MORE INTERESTING? I tried Arknights before and it felt like the same shit except I made it through half the story before realizing it was never going to get more interesting. What is even the point of having the gameplay? Would you all be happier if there was just no gameplay at all and it was just a series of videos with occasional slot machine pulls that spit out anime girls? Did the force of your ejaculations lodge the semen so deep within your cerebral cortex that you now require your anime series to have buttons to stimulate you instead of just watching Strike Witches on Crunchyroll like normal pervs?

Usually people say the appeal of gacha is that it's chill and a way to decompress but literally so are most games. Minecraft is chill, Dynasty Warriors is chill, fucking Dead of Alive Beach Volleyball is chill, why play a gacha game? WHY?

You can't play the intro missions of a gacha and assume there's no gameplay. To be fair, GFL is a decade old phone game so it is a little dated and slow, although there's a lot of strategy in the old ranking maps. Try GFL2, and wake me up when you've cleared Horde. Arknights is the same, if you haven't cleared the Contingency Challenges on high risk then you haven't played the game.

As for your question, different people play for different reasons. These games are very multi-faceted. Most of their stories are mediocre but GFL is immensely intricate and complicated and interesting. They all start off slow though, GFL's picks up starting in chapter 10/Singularity. Art is obviously hugely important, as is the rest of a character, but don't let the funding model make you assume there's nothing else beneath. In fact, GFL isn't even a gacha, it's a colle. You should have every single one of the 400+ characters without paying a cent. Money is for costumes, just like in many unrelated games for Windows.

I believe Mica has plans to release a standalone version of GFL1 in the next year or three. Just based on freshness of gameplay and story, I'd recommend you play 2 now then when the standalone GFL1 is released play that. I haven't yet played Reverse Collapse yet but it's supposed be one hell of a story. GFL1 is a bit of a slow burn, especially to start, but you'll be in for one hell of a ride after a few hours especially if you have a strong imagination and empathy.

Don't read summaries, they won't leave you the impact the game is known for.
You need to read the characters' lines, reactions and expressions. At minimum use the cutscene interpreter.

The story in GF1 (and Bakery) is great because it really does an incredible job of making you feel the despair and stakes that everyone is feeling, as they're just trying to get themselves and their loved ones to live one more day amidst all the politics and psychopaths. As a result it can feel a bit verbose at times, but it's worth it IMO.

Sharkry is the best unit there. Gets better the more burn units you have.
I recommend pulling Suomi from the current banner, otherwise you'll have to use Colphne for healing.
Vepley is ok, not great, but she fulfills a niche in resolving Snow Deichgraf's mechanics on Boss Fight and will definitely help you progress far faster in Tier 6+ which means more weekly rewards faster. Her high movement also helps in cheesing some Peak Value Assessment stages earlier than intended.

Sabrina isn't that great at the start as a lot of her power is locked behind dupes, thankfully you can get V6 for free through Boss Fight. She also can apply hydro weakness, so the more hydro DPSes you have, the more useful she'll become.
Mosin is the same as Sabrina but you can't get free dupes, lightning supports will help when we get them. You'll be able to clear all content albeit they won't be meta.

During Summer Garden, the Commander goes visit William in his cell on the Elmo.
Apparently he's ambushed by Paradeus and Lunasia (post-Cartesian Theatre merge), who take him away alongside William. This was prior to Zero Charge, so they could've easily gotten in Frankfurt prior to Embla's plan. The way they got out wasn't explained, but Lunasia's basically a goddess so yeah.

Lunasia babysits the Commander for most of Angular Gyrus, it's implied that it's her own intention, she likely was the reason the Commander wasn't killed by William too. Unfortunately for her, she's not the pure Lunasia that William wants, she's "tainted" by M4 and Dandelion's memories, and was thus discarded.

The Cocoons are an.. alternative to the Lake of Cognition and will be explained better in Isolation Forest, where Operation Cocoon and Laplace will be the focus.

For starters, recommended keys are hopefully not the thumbs up shit the game shows. Because that is ILL as fuck advice. Some dolls literally use all 3 keys that DON'T have this symbol as their BIS.

Do not trust that, ever. Like you get 20% more damage on your ult for making its aoe so much smaller. Why would you do this to yourself? You also get 6 additional movement, to relocate afterwards, and if you kill 2+ targets, you can even zoom right back again.
Try pairing her with for example Lotta so you can get those kills.

If you care about endgame stuff at all, then yeah. They're the only way to reliably max out an attachment's stats.

Each attachment has 3 or 4 buffs they give the doll who's using the weapon they're on. Those buffs (for example Critical Chance, Critical Damage, etc) start at something called their base stat, from which they can be boosted by doing calibration, which requires sacrificing unused attachments and a tad of gold to roll new stats for each of the buffs. After calibrating those buffs can improve but they can also worsen if you had improved them previously.
150% means the buffs are all at at least 150% of their base stats. You'll understand more if you give it a few tries, you lose almost nothing if you only use random junk to calibrate something you use.

desu Morridow, Nemhran and Bramedb are some of the better designs with more fleshed out personalities. Nemhran especially. Not sure about Hebe and Styx but they look stunning. A shame they cucked out on bringing back Gray, she must be really popular to get the free unit treatment that Architect never got.

If you've got 10 dolls that match the dispatch thing, that's 780 every 20 hours. 5,460 if you hit it once a day. If you're crazy enough, you can squeeze out an extra 1.4/week.

Honestly, once I bottom out, (had 10k~ extra before they were added, down to ~7k now) I'm not buying the level-breaker cards anymore. Between the dispatch shop and the events where their farm mission are part of the dailies, I've got enough for 4 more dolls stockpiled if absolutely none were to arrive in my storage in future.
