I play OPBR, it's fun and I have fun with my two favorite characters (Lucci and Snake) so I don't feel the need to go for other characters.
I'm excited about the new giant characters although outside of Dorry and Broggy I don't see any other "big" characters to add to the game.

any good guides for how to make good medal sets? any guides in general really, i've been going at it blind for like 2 months now. (free player, won't be buying anything, couldn't afford that anyway, inb4 poor don't care.)

I have, some ok medals, but I suck at planning so I have no 9s yet, and my best combo is just shove 5th gear and wano law together (hp on knockback, hp on ko, 3 tags activate + the upgrade stats) or the same with sentomaru and a navy chatacter (they have knockback heal aswell, and the navy skill works good with coby, to spam skill 2 which heals and activates Iframes. cobys (not mop boy, new one) medal gives you even more if your team if getting oneshot so you can just spam skill 2)
I also have two usopp variants + 2 years later um franky? on basic usopp (level 100. i'm trying to unlock sniper king, lol.)

I'm relatively new to the game and from what I understand, it's necessary to transfer attributes, you'll never get a perfect medal at the start.
However, transferring attributes that aren't guaranteed sometimes means you need to spend gems to secure the 9.
In any case, I recommend that you farm several medals of the same type and have 10-20 gems to make several transfers if you don't get the highest value one on the first try.
Above all, prioritize the pink medals that are limited (unless you pay, but it's a rip-off).
As for sets, I suppose that as long as they keep most of the tags, it's enough. I play with Snake and Lucci, so on Snake I have Boa from the event, Snake, and Hawk.
On Lucci I have Hattori, and Stussy from the event, and Lucci's own.

realize that its lower value to do singles and its only worth pulling on super sugos/seasonals/whatever the big pulling event is called in your game because then you might actually pull something

no, we don't have guides. Nobody discusses or has ever discussed Bounty Rush in here. And that's because it's a shit game, it doesn't encourage creativity or teamwork nor can you actually study up on strategies or compositions. This is a, and I can't stress this enough, "Reddit game", and it can't be anything more than that.
What's the strategy? You pull the newest meta character. More strategy? You pull until they're completely maxed. You can't? Enjoy getting oneshot by literally everybody online. Medals don't matter since you will never be able to seriously compete regardless unless you actually dump money into your pulls. Even if you did max your characters, people cheat, all the time, and they don't even get banned, so winning or losing is still completely up to chance and nothing else. Optc is garbage, but only because we once knew it had a soul, it had potential and the strategy is still there. Bounty Rush is trash, it's always been trash and it can never be anything more than trash

I only faced a few back in the release against fuckers in GP at max at like, fight 14 or 15. Anyone that can ignore def while attacking multi enemies and attack twice at the very least with over attack 1x can be annoying. Usually guys like this have good teams and Dex teams are annoying unless you have Red movie Luffy
Also, guys like this always have Hawk on the fucking bench, doesnt matter the team, which is a killer. Either way, the missing units are just the highest boosters I have. I only use Usohachi on San Juan if I don't have vs Kid friends. This is one of the first time I use non boosted captains for boss and inva, but these debuffs are way too much. Fights are really easy this way, I'll just have to put in more runs if I want the 10M

I was waiting for that to get a dupe for Bibi since is the last mission i am missing.

I tried OPBR for a couple days with my friends and somehow managed to reach ss with level 60 characters. Then suddenly every match after that was a one sided shitfest where i get one shotted by someone farting in my general direction and doing chip damage at most even with my most damaging skill. Every match is against lvl 100 Rogers with 50+ trait boost and 9 star medals.

How can someone even manage to think about a matchmaking system so unbalanced?

Why can't i stay with other lvl60 people until i manage to get a character leveld decently?

Also why is the only option for matches league battle? Why can't i just throw a free match (with some rewards) if i don't care about the league and just want to play for a bit?

Someone please talk me out of dropping it because i like the game, but if everymatch is gonna be this onesided one way or the other i genuinely don't see the fun in that.

I dont think i can even get to the usual 500 rainbow turtles missions. In 5 runs i got only 58 turtles. And most of my friend lists have free psy luffy for this shit

With the guaranteed hime after 150, it’s worth it to go up. And I say this as someone that kept the actual boss on 40 to get the 500 turtle missions done

I dont get how people sleep on Cracker tho. This guy at llb4 is very good, when others are still waiting to use their special he already did 2. He will definitely action bind some dex fuckers in those 2 times, plus his 1x atk while ignoring def is good and does solid damage, increasing the ct lv3 is a fucking plus to the fucking team. People prefer Vivi or Sanji to speed up ct, but Cracker is more effective. Or at least, use Otama to speed things at first, then she dies and have Cracker as first to go in. This guy works well with str slashers like Oden, Law, Kin crew and also that Luffy and Coby.
King is also a killer due to his ignore def.
But str needs some more units to do extra damage against dex units, or buffs to some of the older units.

I wanted to make some fighter/powerhouse teams with Red Luffy or Int Gear 5 but something is lacking. Doubt that San Juan unit will make a difference, which reminds me, still havent pulled on that banner yet.. but San Juan seems nice

yeah I came back during 10th anni after not playing for 2 years and it's amazing how there's basically no new permanent PvE content since then.
Plus no discounts since the versions were synchronized and banners come out at an insane rate. Like the current Kizuna banner got announced like a day after part 3 of the main banners was released.
Plus it was already bad having the Sugo/TM/Kizuna/PvP legend split across several banners but now all the good units are super sugos so they get split and time gated too.
All this as they demand unreasonable levels of grinding for pitiful rewards that will never make up for the aforementioned demand.
You genuinely get more gems on random logins than from these events and you don't have to put hours of your life into the game for those so there's no real motivation to play.
Even if you get the new units, all of them now have pages worth of abilities to the point it's basically imperceptible and thus you'll only used them in their designated events on release and then ignore them.
I honestly think they either take serious step back on this garbage (they won't) or the game will actually die because the devs have become so unreasonable.

I find it good for me because only super sugos and the discount multis are worth to do so it is still easy to hoard gems, even though Bamco are stingier and they make the grindable gems a bit harder to get for a random player. Still, there is some good things. I started using recently non boosted units for tm because of all their bullshit mechanics. And with their change on all tm units being 2x boosters, I get to 10M in 20-23 runs.

Also tried to get Garp in Sentomaru's banner and was lucky. Also got Tsuru, Ace, Ohm, int chopper(rumble one), Marigold and some dupes.
Best was getting Str Gear 5 by 3rd multi in his part and LawvsBB. Also got Nami memories which helps for a striker team, finally.
And i do prefer notgear 5(Uta movie one) in a Str team tho. This new one is for a free spirit team, which was my leader in this last gp, i usually go anniversary Shanks(when 4 bursts or more) or int Gear5.

The new updates for characters like Crocus and Qck Cat Viper were nice. Still need to try a few ones like stussy, pink and few others.

I learned by my own, by trying things in rival or single match which is good to test ideas. I notice a lot of teams are the same, even their positions, maybe because people just see tubers and copy paste it.
Btw you should have the psy team from Chopper's missions Panel, right? Thats a start.
I dont know what characters or teams you have to give more precise info, but you can ask.

The shooter team i posted was just an example of something i tried and it worked. Fuji/Kiz are the main dmg dealer, Tsuru does some dmg but boost team ct for 30secs, Uta gives buffs+team 20% ct and can give haste, Grus gives shield and 80% confusion to 3 enemies and halves atk and Uso/Lilith action binds someone and delays 20%ct on 3 enemies and enemies ct down lv5 for the first 40secs. As a defense team seems good and people already fell for it, but as an attack team it lacks a bit of more attack since i usually win at last 30 seconds(psy teams are easy prey at my team level or sightly above). Some of these characters special ct is around 20, with their team ct boosts and delays+debuffs on enemies they barely use their specials and literally do nothing while my team uses specials fast.

And btw, imagine you have 4 solid units in a team, you can add a 5th unit that doesnt boost the team stats but one of the classes still belongs to that team. Example, cerebral team of Saul, Crocus, anniversary Shanks and Robin/Koala you could have the 5th unit S-Snake(dex abilities) for 100% confusion on 2 free spirit+debuff atk and spd and 2.5 atk or Hina(striker abilities) for action bind and atk 5 times.
Slasher, Str Oden, Shanks/Buggy, Zoro/Sanji(needs a SHat in team), S-Hawk and Fuji/Kizaru that is a shooter unit but since his 2nd class is slasher it doesnt get buffs for team but gets enough from team to work
In a psy team you could add that hina(She is a striker and will match with Eneru), or psy Boa with confusion and action/special bind chance despite just boosting cerebral characters

But this place used to be full of life. Well, we were on /vg/ back then. I remember how God Usopp played for years without seeing a single red. I remember Storm Pirates meming, I remember the salt after people farmed up 100 raid doffys and didn't manage to max him. I remember rerolling for Log Luffy and flexing him on all the plebs envious of him. I remember getting laughed at for saying I gemmed on raid enel just to clear him once. I remember farming a fucking fortnight for weeks farming those log luffy skillbooks.

I look at the unit descriptions nowadays and I just see walls of text. A unit like

Was Yoshi the beginning of the end? Was it the introduction of TM? PvP? A new sugo every 3 days? It couldn't have been bamco because dokkan is doing just great in comparison. Units used to be simple but they were also useful for the most part. Maxing raid Doffy was incredibly cool because he was universally useful and unlocked other content. Now, despite having 15 page long specials, they are actually less useful because content is designed with a very specific set of rules in mind.
People used to look forward to whatever character or event/raid/colo because the characters were actually useful or cool. The original G5 hype actually brought a lot of new players to the game, it was very noticeable.
Now every single unit is just a booster for the next event. Having 7 or 8 new legends every month doesn't help.

PKA is terrible, coop is so bad they don't even announce it most of the times and some months they forgot or skipped it, TM is the usual garbage, Kizuna is the only gamemode where you can actually use different units. PvP is sort of fun actually, but it's not that nice.

Ye, I remember when the thread kept dying. We were way too slow for this shit board because nobody was spamming about his "waifu" except the storm pirate shenanigans.
Game is just old that's it. Main problem is the gameplay, at the beginning one rr copy was enough for stuff. Don't need to chase dupes, so not much profit for them. And the game became way too complex with all the added mechanics.
Add to that that almost all modes are farm based with fucking boosters and you know why the game is dead. Also, you miss one event and you are kinda fucked for the next one. You either go hard or you don't play, it's not like dokkan or battle cats, the balance between easy and hard stuff is shit.

Kizuna got worse the last few months. They literally want you to skip directly to box 4 or 5 for the first legend skulls, while needing a boosted character at least, which makes lose kizuna insignias in previous boxes. Since now you have to buy potions and buy the occasional missing skulls 3 months later it is bullshit. No wonder old skulls are now on sale for 10 insignias and some just stay at 20. At least this Uta is great. And for Rumble, with Sabo they can give, at least, extra 50% ct with supers, with Cracker, Tama or a Sanji or Vivi can make Red Luffy go nuts. Hell, even a Str Shooter unit this Uta can be useful with Kuma, Tsuru and Akainu.

This might be the best banner the game ever had. 240 gems for 10 Multis. 19/29 legends are limited units, mostly recent ones. Some of the best rumble legends included. The value is nuts.

I've been lucky enough to be blessed by 4 Demonio Fleur Robins by now. I think I am going to go until multi 9 since it's already treated me very nice. Pull 4 gave me Sanji/Nami, Karasu/Morley, and the Marine triple unit with Kobi's gf and the whip slut. Free 10+1 gave jack shit, though.

Yep the free multi looks shit for everybody, didn't get anything of value there too. Did 5 multis and the discount on the pvp banner gave me dex young Garp, S-Bear and Sentomaru. He will be nice for my str team, don't know about the others though. I could go for a dex fighter team since I also have Bullet but I don't know if it's an interesting base.

Got some great shit overall from the rest of the cheap pulls. Fujitora and plant guy, S-Shark, Robin/Chopper dupes, Shaka/Edison/Pythagoreas, Usopp/Lillith, and about 15 regular Egghead Robins. Sadly no OG Vegapunk or S-Hawk but still very happy with what I got.

Dex fighters i see Soba mask that is good imo, Chin Jao, Dog, Cat, Ann(for healing and ct), Shark, Sanji/Zori, Memories Luffy, a Jinbe if maxed. There isnt much for this class. It will depend how high the llb of some characters are but you can try, i guess.

Man, if you have Ace, you should try having him and Furanky jn the the starting team, have dex gear 5 luffy for stat bonus in bench.

My team is usually Aokiji, Uso/Lili, Grus, psy Uta, Tsuru and bench of Kiz/Fuji(also put as starter many times), Toy or Kuma and str rumble coby(cuz of Grus). Have been testing Buggy instead of Grus and has been fun. The thing about Grus is his confusion and shields will make the opponents team useless, more with Uso/Lili removing ct and binding one enemy.

Whenever i get the ninjas and that Snake i have to try a full Str shooter team with Buggy, Kuma and Xmas Uta. Prolly try that Usopp from current bazar.

Man, this one i didnt even use the cerebral team i usually use. This shooter and str teams are fun due to fast specials. Buggy is a god send, Uta+Coby is such a nasty combo, King and Luffy will clean any team. I wish i could max this team

Speaking of gambles, I pulled that new Tashigi tm legend and I am quite happy because I find her absolutely crazy for pvp. She has a place on my slasher team but I think it's the sime to build a cerebral team. Also went until the 10th multi on the egghead sugo.
Got Sentomaru, Pizzaro, Bear and Shark, tm Coby, Atlas and Shaka. Most of it are pvp legends even though I missed 19 from this pool, but that will be incredibly useful.

I also dont like how easy every new character can do 5k dmg or 4x, or mix of both base damage + something to finish off a couple of units in one go. They really fucked things with Whoremato, then this Luffy/Lucci destroys any powerhouse character which makes psy even shittier. Even rumble characters like Crocus will get fucked despite getting an update a few months ago. I hope they increase the hp of some these characters, or give something to defend, i dont know.

I was tinkering a bit and I came up with this team :
Int Sabo, tm Tashigi, Oiran Yamato, the qck pvp Neko, Robin/Koala and on the bench the pvp legend Iva, Inazuma and int Ohm since he is the only other interesting cerebral rr I have. They don't have much pvp rr options, like the only thing missing here is Saul, but they have so many legends to pick. Honestly, I think about swapping Robin/Koala with either Nami/Carina or Ulti/Black Maria.
Also, we will get Vivi/Rebecca v1 6+ next. If may hints to a jp ani theme. I hope it's a bit about Reverie, I need a new Shira so much

The other team is a mix of striker/cerebral. Nami will give free specials to Grus and Hina which will make many vulnerable to action bind+confusion. Another option is swap Grus for Law(vsBB) to fuck slashers and cat for marigold to have a str bench team

Btw slashers are also everywhere. If you insert Zoro/Sanji that team will usually be solid, as long you have a SHat to get its haste. I need to try this in a psy team.

Last year f2p players can get up to 7500 gems (no ranking rewards) (Not counting one time rewards that are not limited to a specific time period) and this year Bandai is giving way more gems

Pulling a character in this game is simply worth way more than in any other Gacha, you get a moveable 3d model with unique and fluid animation that have impact, voice lines, and traits unique to the character that affect the gameplay in a major way.

In the beginning of the game, the game allows you to get a free character from a selection, Marineford Jimbei and Luffy/Ace are good characters you can pick.

At the start of the game, players are put in starter leagues where the enemies are always bots, then when they rank up they get into a mixture of real players and bots, then real players unless you were found exploiting.

It takes a high IQ to understand One Piece Bounty Rush. The game has many intricacies that take a genius to utilize in real time.

You should watch gameplay (preferably Niji, Jack, or Lucci) to see how good it is.

That Luffy/Zoro/Sanji is absolutely busted for both regular play and pvp. That fucking burst... Honestly this might be the best unit at the moment.

Jean will eventually get buffs like Crocus got. For now i still cannot use him tho

When Kizaru's og va died the new one tried to sound like og but if felt off, but these days it sounds great. WB was the same, the Croc's va does a nice job.

I have seen some videos about assault rumble, and they all seem to give the same advices : avoid hp cuts and use some def down abilities. I did ok for Buggy and Akainu, but the Bb one is not satisfying. Might need help for this last round, using a psy team at the moment.

I was curious about something for a while, I noticed that a lot of people don't evolve the first G5 luffy into the one where he is throwing a lightning bolt. I always thought super evolving units was always a good thing but when I picked him both version of his first G5 (super evolved and default), they play super different from eachother. I assume the default one is better for normal missions while the evolved version is better for other events since I always see him there.
I am wondering since I just got my G5 luffy after so long, super evolved him and not being sure if I did the right thing when I tested him again. Any advice on how the unit works and what is the best would be really helpful

tm qck Luffy with a Sanji support that reduces 1 turn of resi
Nami/Carina
new Kizaru but he's not needed at all, just here for the point boost.

Stage 2 Izo/Kiku and Carina, Izo/Kiku super type to go over the chain threshold dmg
Stage 3 everything else. It's a fucking pain in the ass but at least, I have a somewhat boosted team and I get the point boost for the other fights. Going until 20M, rewards are way too good.

A couple, especially for rumble.

Some of the older ones are cheaper these days(20 each) and there are 2 monthly sales that are extremely cheap for 10 each skull.
Unless you really want something, i would save because last year around the summer they put almost every skull very cheap.

But, for rumble Kuma, Bonney(also useful in other modes), qck Kaido, psy Law(on sale right now), Lucci(cuz of Kizaru and navy tag), Pudding is good for certain int teams, Dex Doffy, str Oden, Str Jack and i guess qck Magellan because of haste.
Some need llb4 to be very good, but others like psy Law is always good due to his debuffs and team ct

that's one of the major problem with live-action as an idea because the directors go "well everything needs to be more realistic" but the whole point of the series is that the world itself is cartoonish in many ways. I think the live-action one piece has the heart of one piece but absolutely no depth. they rushed many reveals and removed many overarching characters. My team for Wb is fucking awful because I tried to go to add psy strikers. But I kept some cerebral focused teams for the other fights. Main damage dealer is Atlas I think. For Akainu I did a mix of cerebral/slasher.
Using Atlas anni Sabo TM Tashigi S-Snake pvp Ohm 150 and anni Shanks plus pvp Dorry/Broggy on the bench.

Yeah, I know. I do that with a support Sabo for the Ace on my DEX team. But the boa sisters are way more reliant on each others and I'd have to break that. It's basically a question of what is worth more, the 15% extra charge from sandersonia + the buffs from marigold, or the extra 3 ct levels from coby.

I'm using them this GP season since they are boosted (disregard the franky).
Special is insane but they can only launch it after 6 members were killed so you basically have to sacrifice 1 attempt to get it once.

Tried teams on the first 3 matches.
Funny burst, but feels like end-game whale with strategy envolved. It fucks Str teams like this but his burst takes 50 seconds to trigger, now it is faster because of the season, and it does carry over next round but...i never managed to beat the npc burst right at the start of the next round.
It also blocks ignore def in bursts like Luffy/Z/S and etc. Getting later a Hawk, Mihawk and WB/Roger it makes them a joke.
I guess, that whenever there is a Saturn leader i should not be using Str team, or not use Luffy, Kuma, King... or risk as first team, because 2nd or 3rd round will be pointless. Saturn leader will make Dex team a pain to beat later,geez.

Cannot wait for an unit to null force out on burst tho

Like the other anon said, you don’t have all the boosted shenanigans so you are not restricted for teambuilding. Only other mode I could think of is kizuna super boss, but this shit is ultra whale and autist territory.
It also helps that we now have some variety, and not only one team dominating the meta.

Tough picking between raizo+shinobu, otama and kawamatsu.
First one's meta on pvp, second one has a good support and third is the best for regular play while also being nice for slashers.
Plus they are all from banners I don't usually ever touch.

I should have tried Z/S in the psy/slasher team, i tried that on a str/slasher and it does wonders
And not that anon. I tried with Mihawk, anni Shanks, Ray(for a bit of def), Smoothie and Law, bench Zoro, Gaban, Calgara/Noland
Problem, besides doing hard damage besides mihawk, is the defense sucks.
Was looking around and Momo doesnt feel worth. Kawa needs Oden. Streusen does seem good to give defense but needs to be llb4 to be useful

Would rather go for my psy/fighter strategy because Luffy, Sanji and Garp can ignore def.

To be fair i barely use psy these days, Saul is usually on my Cerebral teams.
In this fight against Akainu, his counter is kinda useless against Akainu but helps a bit against the other admirals. Main stars are Garp and Sanji here.

This mode feels like paralyze can be useful but havent tried yet. Just action binds with rumble Hina or Uso/Lili, or confusion with Grus
