Am I insane or the main character design looks AI generated?
I like the fmc detective with the pimp clothing, the dancer girl and the 20's aesthetic, but none of the girls make me feel like I want to pull my credit card or reroll for hours at end and that's an absolute must for any gacha.
Having said that I'm going to give it a shot when it comes out anyway

The faces look lifeless in some way, I think it's the eyes. But maybe it's because this is still early footage.
It was a really smart move to hide enemies behind normal npcs that you need to interact with. It lets them to hide extra hud elements during combat and they can pack more enemies that are more detailed and have a smarter ai because they dont need to be constantly loaded into the open world. I use wuwa here because i dont have genshin, but both work the same

You just got used to how other games do it, because they have to, otherwise the anime faces look weird because they're very flat, unlike a realistically modeled face but we all know where "muh realism" gets you these days and especially what type of audience it brings in. Protip: you don't want those people playing your game because it will end up westernized.
