Gen 10 anime should go back to basics with Ash travelling with a girl that argues with him and an older main character that acts as the group leader. According to leak, Gen 10 also does not have gym and instead the player will have to fight something similar to totem/noble/titan pokemon so the new anime just need to write a reason for Ash to fight them which leads to an villain arc involving ether the game villain or main Team Rocket or an anime original villain,

Its unfortunate that Anipoke still thinks boy & girl bantering to be bad only because Iris was hated even though she was hated for having a dragonite which is something they still does not acknowledge since they handed a freaking Terapagos to Liko. The previous three lead girls argued with Ash but they aren't hated so obviously the problem was Iris instead of boy & girl bantering. But Pokemon anime still won't acknowledge this since every girl after Iris were forced to be nice.

Suppose a girl that is forced to travel with Ash on Gen 10 instead of choosing to travel with him, probably to collect information of the Beast that the player will have to fight in place of gym leader. She does not like Ash's brash optimism while he dislike her stuck up attitude. But as the story continue, the girl learn that Ash is surprisingly level headed & mature when he needs to be while Ash find that girl to be over emotional and childish at times. Eventually the girl starts to develop feeling for him but she will have problem understanding this brand new feeling and adapt to them. This is how you do romantic subplot in a children anime,
