Gen 10? It's going to be. Switch 2 was supposed to launch last year and this year was supposed to be bare (that leak here in '23 that dropped DLC news and touted an SV upgrade patch). Which would have left a two year gap between system launch and new Gen games on new system as always.
Never mind the fact the previous system ALWAYS gets left behind for a new one whenever there's a new system launch.

While I think it’s unlikely they announce Gen 10 in July, it’s odd that they’ve announced a presents two months in advance. They’ve never done this. It was always days before said presents happening. This makes me think that they really want to emphasize this one is important. I could so they dedicating a bigger part of it to Z-A showing a lot of new megas and features. And then at the end a small teaser that would only reveal the Gen 10 titles saying coming worldwide in 2026 exclusively on the Switch 2. Only a tease like this without giving too much info on it would not overshadow Z-A but would get the fanbase talking for sure and would be a promotion for people who haven’t buy the switch 2 yet or for the ones that won’t play Z-A at all. That did announce Z-A in 2024 and went silent on it for a year. Why not tease the next one in July and only really show it on February 2026?

They're not revealing anything about Gen 10 early, just because you fags are tired of waiting for the next VGC game dickheads. The most likely explanation is Nintendo are probably run a direct in july offering insight into any more titles coming this year and Game Freak wanted to ensure fans wouldn't expect news at that one.
Or else, they're 6 months off releasing Champions and featuring that as the focus of the Presents, with a 3 minute game trailer.

Unless you mean "more TPC Pokémon games", there's gonna be no other Pokémon games for the emulators. Game Freak alone own the rights to them and leaving aside the elephant in the room of they'd need to be restricted to a new dedicated Mature Game Boy/GBA emulator (the same way Perfect Dark and Goldeneye are locked to Mature N64) to adhere to laws in Europe and SEA, Game Freak don't give up their rights, will not attempt to offer an 18's rated Pokémon game and understand they earn 15m sales from remakes from people who want to replay the old games anyway.

I get that PLZA is shaping up to be arguably the most underwhelming Pokémon game GF have ever made and Gen 10 would spice things up, but it's not happening, period. Wait that damn 8 months, not like you have a choice in the matter, though.

Well, Horizons is going to end on April 2026 according to the Teraleak (it will have around 135 episodes). Of course, they can just put out a filler arc or series to fill in time until November next year.

I doubt it, since ZA isn’t even out yet, but I could see it. Perhaps for the big 30th anniversary, they’d like to get the new game out on February 27th, 2026. That still gives Legends ZA 5 months to itself.

More likely, though, is the direct will focus on ZA and current mobile/spinoff game updates. Then, if there’s a final surprise at the end, it would either just be a very minor Gen 10 tease of a full reveal in February or maybe PMD Explorer’s DX.
