Admittedly though, it's a bit frustrating for me specifically that Totodile is back, but next to Chikorita yet again. I fucking love Totodile but Meganium is my favorite Pokemon that I just can't say no to, so I never really get to use Totodile.
Still super happy for my gatrbros though, and it's also nice to see Tepig get some love.

This is modern day Game Freak, to be fair. I don't even know if the new starters are getting megas (I hope they are, because the alternative is most likely regional variants, which you can't exactly opt out of like you can with megas. If I don't like Mega Meganium I can just use the base form), they really do make a lot of unpredictable decisions. This one just happened to work in my favor.

I don't have anything against the game, I just don't find it interesting.

At least PLA had the novelty of being set in the past, adding a ton of details to the pokelore, most of them useless, but it was fun to see the ancestors of familiar characters or the old human-Pokemon relationship, being more like Yokai or Kamuy.

ZA feels like an XY DLC that's years overdue. If they'd set the game in medieval Europe and added content featuring Viking invasions and more Norse pokelore, it would have been worth it.
