In tera raids, is there a reason the boss does double damage the first turn?
My allies don't have intimidate, don't use status moves turn 1. I haven't seen anyone comment on it and I've looked. Is that a real mechanic or am I missing where the turn 2 damage is being mitigated?

Do you mean in 7 stars raids? Those tend to do something turn 0 (depends on which raid boss but it can be an attack that deals damage) then they do their turn 1 attack. iirc 5 and 6 stars raids don't do this or at least most don't

7 stars (and 6 stars I suppose) work on a script and react at certain time/HP thresholds. They will do "thing" plus whatever their current turn is, which may feel like they had a double turn/attack

Since this is the /shg/ too, I'll make my post here.

I've gotten my third target after my starter in my Heartgold Badge Quest. I discovered this Aipom I'd been searching for headbutting a tree. I found it along side my earlier phase from the same tree, Heracross. Both are synced Jolly. However Aipom has the ability Run Away not Pickup. He's still a good lead for the team. I named him Handy and caught him in a love ball.

I then beat Whitney at the Goldenrod Gym with a team of shinies, I felt pretty cool. Then I started making my way to the path where I discovered my next target. I am going to reset the Sudowoodo blocking my path on Route 36.

Hitmontop sets itself apart from Incineroar by having access to Sucker Punch and Wide Guard. I run Close Combat and Fake Out on a very bulky spread since its primary purpose is to intimidate and support. Hitmontop is a mon that surprises, if Calyrex-Shadow isn't sashed or tera'd then it dies to sucker punch instantly. If Caly-Ice appears poised to use glacial lance, wide guard grants you immunity.
Close Combat does mondo damage to mons like Terapogos and Zamazenta.

Trick Room support comes in a few forms:
Farigiraf and Indeedee(especially) do the best. Indeedee(f) sets up psychic terrain which cancels priority moves and fucks with prankster.
In regulation I, Miraidon is really common so terrain control becomes pretty important. (Rillaboom is another good terrain setter)

Maybe for trick room teams, but maxing stuff is ridiculously easy now. Only things that take time are if you want a #swag team of all shinies or 0 speed for trick room since you can’t bottlecap a stat to zero (but you can to max). Snackwprth will give you about half the legendaries if you’re missing them but some of the important ones are only available in gen 8 and are shiny locked so Dynamax Adventures if probably a better option.
Make sure to get your mark charm from Blueberry if you’re going for marks! Might want to do a BBQ or two for points to unlock the starters in the biome if you haven’t as well, though might be hard to get a group right now. Also you could get the shiny Meloetta for filling out your Home dex if you haven’t.

Nah, not with advent of bottle caps.
The only real struggle is 0IV (usually speed) mons, which if you don't mind it not being shiny can usually be done fairly easily.
I don't even bother with 0 atk ivs because foul play somewhat uncommon and especially confusion.
I'm old school so I still do a fair bit of breeding, but I have definitely gotten lazier. Used to if a mon was anything less than penta-perfect I would discard it - even the shines. Today it's a little different.
Tera and max raids made getting high IV pokemon much easier so you even start with a good mon if you do have to breed.
Then the eggs are stupid easy to get now too because a mirror herb just copies the move of another mon if you do it in a picnic.

I battled a Choice specs, tera fairy, pixelate Sylveon ran hyper beam the other day, its partner had helping hand and ally switch too.
Mercifully it missed, because any mon with just neutral resistance isn't going to make it.

Victory Road hosted a tournament.
What's interesting is looking at the overall usage of mons day 1 and 2. You can actually see which mons added value to a team such that it survived to day 2.
Fluttermane went from being on 12% of teams day 1 to just 2% day 2. You could potentially think of it as negative value.
The highest "value" mons were Urshifu(R), Incineroar, Rillaboom, Sinistcha, and Amoongus. They all increased their representation in day 2 by at 1 - 16%

In restricted usage stats, Miraidon, Zamazenta, Calyrex Shadow, and Terapogos all had positive value from day 1 to day 2. Anywhere from a 1 - 9% increase in usage.
Calyrex Ice had the greatest fall in usage, losing 4% from day 1 to 2.

In restricted pairs though, 4 teams saw their usage increase by 3 - 6%.
Caly-S/Zama, Miraidon/Lunala, Caly-S/Koraidon, and Miraidon/Terapogos.
All other combos remained the same in representation or lost.

By the way, you can make your pogo mons omit the limitation, but it needs to be done before transferring to Home. The system only applies it if it's a pokemon transferred from pogo directly to that Home account.
Which means that if you get a pogo legendary or mythical from someone else, it will be able to enter whatever game it can go into.
Which means that you can transfer from pogo to your alt Home and then friend trade to your main Home.

The event variant can neither evolve nor get transferred.

You get a Coin Bag the first time you link GO to SV.

You activate the Coin Bag by sending a postcard from GO to Switch, this also changes SV's patterns for 24 hours (you can manipulate this time from your Switch's clock). SV has no limit regarding postcards however GO timegates it, you can only send one postcard daily to reactivate Coin Bag and this refreshes until midnight local time.

If you send iirc 5 postcards in different days you get a Golden Lure (can only hold 1 Golden Lure in your inventory). Golden Lures can be placed in stops to spawn Gimmighouls (I suppose event costumed may spawn too) and get Gold Coins for their evolution when you spin a golden lured stop.

Lastly Coin Bag's effect is active for 30 minutes when used and spawns Gimmies depending on if you remain stationary or keep moving away:

If stationary, one spawn every 5 minutes.
If moving, one spawn every minute.

To maximize event's chances you have to move and pray RNG blesses you
