How exactly does Wonder Guard work?
>>57933232Shedinja isn't properly "alive", it's just a discarded shell that has enough natural processes to continue in the general pantomime of life. Therefore it can't be "harmed" enough to lose consciousness. Instead you need to trick its latent nervous system to react to phantom pain by striking it with moves it instinctively knows are extremely dangerous and will cause death, leading to the Shedinja seizing up and being rendered motionless for a time, convinced it has just taken life-ending harm despite behind impervious to it now.
>>57933232It's a ghost, you can't kill ghosts except with special ghost killing objects like dark rituals, other ghosts, fire, or bug spray.
>>57933260Fake news, you can use your aura to send them off
>it's another "reaction chapter with off-brand r*ddit and tw*tter posts" fic
Dropped.
I've created a system where pregnant pokegirls wield the pokemon powers in their bellies to manhandle and dom boys. It started as indirect bestiality BUT I later had an idea for "pokemon bonded Z-crystal impregnation" instead if you hate nonhuman shit. I'm not much a bestiality guy anyway. Inspired by https://exhentai.org/?f_search=0k0j0+lotus

Tentative AI gen of the concept: https://files.catbox.moe/zet8d6.zip
I wonder if I should develop more specifics about about the male impregnating the girl with Z-crystal shenanigans. Lets say its like https://exhentai.org/g/1051570/958ac96a85/

>>57933271>ElectricShe electrostimulates the boy’s dick, balls, and prostate. Can send tingling pulses through his entire body or totally electrocute him.
Her pussy shocks his cock so hard it feels like his balls are gonna explode.
>GhostSoul bond. They feel each others pleasure. Her touch and pussy feels like being caressed by phantom hands.
It’s like her pregnant pussy is haunted, jerking him off from the inside.
>PsychicHypnotizes the boy into a trance and influences his thoughts. She can share vivid mental impressions.
She brainfucks him so hard he can’t tell if he’s cumming in her or just imagining it.
>FairyFeels euphoric. Heals and soothes the boy with a pussy that feels heavenly like silk.
Her pussy’s so soft it feels like he’s fucking a cloud.
>FireHer pussy is burning hot but doesn't harm. Perfect for blizzards, her body heat keeps them alive.
It’s like sticking his dick in a furnace. Her swollen belly radiates heat and melts his brain with pleasure.
>IceHer pussy is cold and refreshing, sending shivers of pleasure through his body. Feels like an icy onahole. Good for hot weather.
Her frosty cunt makes him shiver so hard he can’t tell if he’s freezing or just cumming his soul out.
>WaterHer drenched pussy controls his seminal fluids forcing him to ejaculate then sending it back in then roiling it around. She also grants water-breathing.
She milks his cock dry, then slams the cum back in like she’s recycling it.
>GrassSecretes medicinal nectar that's a powerful aphrodisiac. Turning him desperate and manic.
Her pussy juice is basically liquid Viagra; one taste and he’s humping her like a feral animal.

She fucks him half to death, then her womb pumps his energy back just to make him beg for another draining.
>FlyingLevitating powers where the girl manhandles the boy. Her pussy imparts an elated sense of lightness.
She flips him around mid-air like a fuck doll while riding his dick so hard her bouncing pregnant belly brushes against his chest.

It feels like her preggo pussy is trying to crush his cock while pinning him to the ground.

Her repetrifying pussy grinds his cock like he's fucking a lubbed up geode. He feels like they're rock monsters.
>SteelVibrates like a high-tech sex toy. Every thrust feels mechanical yet wonderful.
Her vibrating pussy makes his cock feel like it’s getting jackhammered into oblivion while her swollen belly quivers with every thrust
>FightingShe gets hype beyond all reason and monkey-fucks the boy. Her aura makes him feel stronger.
She pounds him so hard with her preggo cunny that he feels like he just lost a wrestling match with his dick as the prize
>DarkFear sex. Gets all yandere and sadistic and casts a terror-inducing aura
Her crazy gaze makes his cock harder than steel while she fucks him like a psycho
>DragonHer pussy exudes a regal eminence. Feels like fucking pure power and makes every thrust feel monumental
She is smug as fuck, radiating sheer power that makes him feel like he’s being fucked by a living legend
>NormalHer belly emits an aura of balance, harmony, and perfection. Every touch feels "just right," bringing relaxation and calm
Her vagina is so perfectly average that it somehow makes every other fuck feel wrong by comparison

>>57933271>>57933273This is off topic and has nothing to do with fanfiction and is NSFW
>>57933278Hey as long as I don't post images I'm golden
>>57933278>has nothing to do with fanfiction? Is that not his fanfiction?
>>57933274They can be fun, but the few fics capable of doing them well would lose nothing of value if they were removed because they can still show "reactions" through other methods like crowds.
Reaction chapters are filler and most fics that have them use them poorly.
>>57933271If you want my suggestion, start writing actual stuff with this. Maybe a series of fics where each chapter focuses on a different girl. Write some slice of life for her day as a powered up preggo chick, or full blown sex scenes of her raping a guys cock. Even if you don't have experience with that kind of thing you might find you actually enjoy writing and end up practicing more. I mean, that's pretty much what you're already doing with all this. Just go ham and don't care about the actual quality.
>>57933278It's anon's fanfiction
Being NSFW doesn't matter if it's text; historically speaking, we've had smut here fairly often.
Though I can get being a little bothered by it since that anon mentioned it quite frequently in the last few threads, especially when we have dedicated smut threads elsewhere.
>>57933034 (OP)I've never read a fanfic in another language, though with how bad some authors' English sometimes it does feel like I'm reading Eubonics or Esperanto.
>>57933266I don't remember this being as popular as it is in current fanfics. Was there something popular recently that caused it? Keep in mind recently is 15ish years for me, haven't really read many fanfics in a long time.
>>57933278It is fanfiction and better than yet another fight about realism, humans being weak like real life, aura, nutrition
>>57933299It's mostly a trend with fics posted on spacebattles because of Worm fanfics
Specific to Pokémon fics, iirc the biggest fic that bothers with them is BoC aka nutrition man's adventures.

>Thread question
Once, wasn't for pokemon and it was russian. All around bad time, that's on me though for expecting something in Russian to be happy.
Better question:
How do you handle languages? Does everyone speak the same thing? Does it so happen to be English or what the MC speaks? Does the MC need to learn a language and how long would it take? If there are multiple languages do pokemon understand them all? Or does your fire dog only respond to German? If there are multiple languages how do you write them? Post the other language without a translation, just type what the speaker is saying but in Italics or something else?
Do pokemon have different languages or did Arceus never have to topple the Tower of Bable
>>57933313or do you plan to expand on it more?
This, yes. I mostly post it here for feedback and to amuse pokefags. I shitposted it as it's own thread here and once on /a/ a couple times.
The pictures are a side thing. As is the thing itself, honestly. It's just the weakest, and only Pokemon one, of my smut writeups. I'm running the fetish creativity general on /d/ as it happens you see

>>57933322Semi-Universal Language, to put it in Nasu/Symphogear terms. There was no Tower of Babel as it were, so everyone ultimately speaks the same language, though that's not to say there's been some linguistic drift and differing cultures between the regions resulting in dialects, accents, and some communication mishaps.

But more seriously, while the language is the same, the intent and the phrasings are different between different cultures. And that is just the spoken word, the written word is another mess in and of itself that can cause hiccups with differing scripts and phonetics. And constructed languages too.

>>57933034 (OP)After two months of getting the absolute shit kicked out of me by writer's block and my mental illness, Chapter 7 of In Mine Own is up! This one was an absolute bitch to get finished properly, and I drove myself crazy with rewrites, cuts, and additions. Lots of backstory and character building for multiple individuals in this one, plus more delving into the real mystery going on. The craziest part is that it's my longest chapter to date by a significant margin, and that's after I had to split it in half. The good news of that being the second half will be ready much more quickly than the first. (Pic mostly unrelated by I can't find many images that properly convey the Concierge vibe I want this new character to have.)

>>57933322>protag learning a new languageIs unnecessary unless you wanna go 'muh ultra realism.
Its not quite as bad as say, an isekai'd mc being introduced in the womb / during birth / as a baby.
I instantly throw the fic into the trash for wasting my time, and you'd be shocked how often it happens with fanfiction in general.
All good coming of age stories across mediums tend to introduce the protagonist as a teenager, so we can jump right into the inciting incident, ect.
no one cares about a dozen + chapters about early childhood, only for the fic to go on hiatus.
>>57933863I'm also not a fan of PHO style react chapters, merely suggesting how to make em not entirely circle jerk fest, but whatever.
>>57933539Cant say i like most nippon Pokemon names over dub naming conventions.
>>57933266>>57933853>>57933863I’m like 40 chapters away from having a news report section in a chapter and now I’m a bit apprehensive about including it. Protag won’t have access to the internet so there’ll be no message board BS.
Also I’m having the protag sing a song in the next chapter (and there’s nothing you can do to stop me).
>>57933945a news report section would be fine, just make sure that you have YOUR CHARACTERS interacting with it instead of making the chapter be about how assblaster69 thinks the MC's team smokes ass and how L33TPikaPowah is doing math autism on the MC's dick size based on photos.

>>57933945It's fine. I remember in the games you can end up doing field interviews with the reporter trainer class NPC's and later see a summary of that on another NPC's TV, thought that was pretty neat for the time.
>>57934354How do you reason between Porygon being oddly nonexistent in tech and Rotom being everywhere? IRL it’s because gamefreak hates the line due to the electric soldier episode, but surely there’s a better explanation world-building wise.
>>57934992Because Porygon-z was a failure technologically and everyone just gave up in them
>>57934992Porygon is a highly advanced technological creation, and Rotom are a natural species. This makes Porygon more useful for highly specialized stuff.
But Rotom can be easily trained and mass produced to produce slop products. They don't even need to do the things that older devices can do. Investing in Porygon technology isn't cost effective for regular public use.
The Rotom's are happy to bide their time as they assimilate into every facet of technology as well.

What?! The creature imprisoning Kuzey lowered him onto the bed again, and he grimaced as he felt the hot wetness of his blood press against the back of his head. But that was the kindest of his ails now; Seringue lifted her leg and crawled onto the bed, straddling the boy as she loomed above him, staring down at him with lightless eyes.
“Ohhhh,” she moaned, almost pleasured as she stared at him. “I know it’s wrong… I know I’m disobeying orders…” She shimmied a little closer, legs tight on either side of Kuzey’s torso as she leaned down, trembling. The woman’s bun came undone, and her locks spilled down, forming a cage that shut Kuzey’s face in with her own; nowhere else to look but at her. Even as he struggled to focus with his vision blurring again and again, the all-consuming thought in the boy’s brain was confusion.
Hugo? Who on Earth was Hugo? And why did… why did he feel like he knew the name?
“They told me to observe you,” the shuddering woman whispered. “To gather information. To distract you while they prepared to evacuate. But I couldn’t help myself.” Her hands snaked in through the waterfall of locks shutting the world out, and cupped Kuzey’s cheeks. She drew a little closer. “The moment I saw you again, Hugo, I knew it was fate.”
What?
She took a slow, deliberate breath, letting it out her mouth again and delivering a sickly-sweet smell straight to the boy. It made him want to puke again. But… no. No it wasn’t coming from her. That sensation that had made him hurl had been there from the start. Where was it coming from?
“This time, I’ll do it right, poor thing. We’ll say our goodbyes properly.”

It seems fine, a bit closer to a higher rating but honestly it's fine. Closer to 1990s cartoons where you couldn't show someone die (for the most part) but people still had horrid shit happen to them.
SA and related is honestly up there with slavery and racism for how ham-fisted authors use it to explain how dastardly the villain is. Need to describe how bad a guy is? He loves fondling/diddling girls. Need to show how terrible a ruler is? Boom slavery. What about to show how terrible another character is? Easy, have them be comically racist.
End of the day I think the scene does what you want it to
as seen by other anons' posts SA or adjacent isn't really a factor if it's female driven. Femdomfags or just dudes who like smut for the most part make a vocal minority who will applaud the scene. Even normies are more forgiving of it, its dangerous and deviant sure, but not as threatening as a male aggressor. That's just how it is.
>>57936202To answer your original question, out of context this didn't come off too menacing to me. It reminded me way too much of porn I've read. It may not have that effect on normal brains.

When Nincada finally evolves, Ninjask leaves the outer shell behind. Both wills inherit the original Nincada's desire to be able to not be touched, and achieve it in different ways. Ninjask achieves it through speed, while Shedinja uses supernatural power and its complete focus on protection to make itself invulnerable to everything except elements that are effective enough to break through its supernatural shields.
Is terastallization legal in the major competitions?
>>57936863Not in Galar, they've banned every gimmick but their own.
If you follow the logic that Tera orbs can only recharge in Paldea and Kitakami, then it might be illegal in some regions since the alternative would be enabling p2w and unhealthy one-sided business with Paldea.
>>57936863It's generally assumed if you're competing in a serious competition, you can pull off your gimmick more than once. Since other regions than Paldea don't have Tera Orb chargers, unless they've bought them at a massive markup and imported the crystals needed, it's not usually expected to show up outside of one match. It's sort of the same reason you don't generally see Dynamax outside of Galar and maybe some islands in Yamato, mostly around the Kanto region.
After the events of S/V though, there are three Tera Orbs that don't need charging around, and the first time one of them is in an international competition will cause waves.
So, what Pokémon should really be under a license control? For me its psychic, dragon and poison.

Tera Orbs don't seem easy to acquire, however, seem to be under strict control of the school and Paldea League. Nemona only gave you one easy peasy because she abused her privileges.
Honestly? Better just git gud by improving your basics and mastering your fundamentals. Outside Megas, all the other are too gimmicky, situational and limited. And if you manage to get a Mega then all your basics and fundamentals will get a massive boost unlike all the other three which all vastly change how the Pokemon will handle themselves in battle.
>>57937038Normal and Bug types, and any other low-class pokemon.
The poors disrupt the ecosystem by getting those low-class pokemon and releasing them into the wilds after realizing their mediocre pokedexless hands are incapable of getting past the first few gyms. The league needs to do something to stop them, so logically the only pokemon with strict license requirements would be the pokemon who are already plentifully disruptive to the environment.
>>57937038None of them, it's the trainer and the pokemon that need to consent to it. A bureaucratic busybody is just the unwanted third party on the cuck chair. It just ruins the themes of the setting.
>>57937038None. You can’t tell me a fucking Mabosstiff should be regulated because it’s Dark-type. The only time a second look should be involved is with extremely large and destructive things like Gyarados.

>>57937038Perhaps this idea could be used to explain why you can't catch Pokemon of levels too high in Galar. And maybe Pokeballs are high-tech now even though we clearly see that they can function on bare minimum 200 years ago tech levels because now they have to be digitally connected to a loicense or card.
>>57937328Me and my porygon setting up a shop to jailbreak pokeballs so they can catch higher level pokemon

I'm in transitional period in my fic's story and I'm unsure how to continue. I guess it's more that I've thought about the events leading up to this moment, and the events that follow it, pretty in depth. But the actual event itself I haven't really thought about enough.
Pretty much, MC and crew are returning home for the first time since leaving to take care of some plot elements. But I haven't been able to decide exactly how events should play out. I'm worried that it will either be too much or too little drama while not actually being sure what will happen.
I guess it's the first time I've gotten to a part of the story where I haven't plotted out how things go. So obviously I should try and do that, but... Eh, I guess I'm just being lazy. or is this writer's block?
>>57938526Have your characters been away for a while? Or at least long enough for there to be noticeable change? Transitional periods are good for showcasing character development that’s taken place or setting up for future development. Has some newcomer shown up and changed the town in some way?
Periods where you haven’t outlined things in a detailed way are great times to do some organic storytelling and characterization (I’ve found at least). Usually I’m juggling enough balls in the air as I’m going I can just throw one of these into a period like this and get back to the main story pretty quickly (but that’s just me).
>>57938572It's only been a few days, but a lot has happened in those days. Also, they are specifically returning home because one of the characters had run away and her sister followed them to drag her back. The problem really stems from the fact that I can't decide what their parents are like.
>>57938280br*ts would license all pokemon
>>57938646First and foremost, you gotta know what’s up with the parents, the real reasons the character ran away etc. Have you posted this yet? Cuz if not you get to use the almighty retcon and flesh out the situation. Whatever you’re trying to tell here, get the parents to fit that so when readers read it, it’ll seem like it always flowed the entire time.
If you’ve already posted, well, you gotta do a lot of cramming in of character stuff to make it not seem so forced/ham-fisted. I’m about to get to a part of my own work where I may run into this, but I already know the endpoint of where my characters are going to end up, so I just have to put one or a few on some steps closer to their respective endpoints. Obviously it’s easier said than done.
>>57938730Well, at the risk of explaining too much and possibly spoiling stuff, their hometown suffered a tragedy recently and the girl ran away to be a pokemon trainer to give her something else to focus on. The MC begrudgingly allowed for her to come with him, and now they both have to deal with the fallout of that.
Honestly, now that I think about it, I think the problem is that this chapter has been very heavy on the social interaction. I had an endpoint for this chapter in mind, but the return home scenes would make that planned endpoint of the chapter not really fit. I think I just need to push back the planned endpoint to the next chapter and give these interactions the attention they deserve.
Well, this has helped me organize my thoughts. Thanks.
>>57938776Glad to help, and best of luck in writing! I'm a sucker for a good homecoming scene
Finally getting to the big climactic fight of the first arc in the next chapter, and to start with there's gonna be a 6 vs ~12 battle that segues off into more focused matches between groups within the groups. Anybody with experience have advice on how to handle that kind of shakedown? My biggest concern is that it'll be hard to follow with rapid transitions between combatants.
>>57938828I've done a couple "raid battles" with trainers so to speak, so it's not 1 to 1 experience, but it dealt with some of the problems you're mentioning. The best way it worked for me is just focusing on one character's perspective. When other fights move into the POV's perspective you can mention it, but it gets out of hand rather easily. Maybe the POV character looks into other fights during the transitional parts of their own fights, but it can get easily overwhelming for readers to keep track of things (and writers will drive themselves crazy choreographing every detail of each battle). During something so chaotic, I'm sure attack orders will get c
If you're doing multiple POVs, you can go full shonen and go through the fight with each POV. Is it a PMD story or a one trainer vs. two, or 6 trainers vs. 12?
>>57938857I'm sure attack orders will get confused by the combatants*
Hipster-team anon back. Are there any fics that use the Impidimp line?
>>57938857>Is it a PMD story or a one trainer vs. two, or 6 trainers vs. 12?6 trainers vs 12, and the latter are a villainous team so standard rules aren't in play. It's still going to be 1 Pokemon per trainer, I've made it a point in my setting that it's considered a measure of advanced skill to control 2 or especially 3 Pokemon at once in a battle. I'm kind of wondering if it would be helpful for all the non-named grunts to use identical Pokemon for interchangeability, or if that'd wind up even more confusing to read.
>>57938877An horde of wild impidimp, and at one point their final evolution, each make minor appearances during some fights in my story. But nothing major. Honestly, I feel like the fight with the final evolution was the weakest fight I've had in the story.
>>57938919I wouldn't use identical, you can have some be similar or the same, but it's a bit immersion breaking for me at least. It also helps keep the action varied and engaging. The way someone defeated a set of grunt Pokemon won't be the same for the next one(s).
>>57938430Happy to be of assistance
>>57938919As somebody who has written a lot of 'big brawls' so to speak I would say it's important to not get weighed down by the details of the fighting. You can't treat it like a 1v1 where every action gets described one after another, a line of action from the start to the end of the battle. You can't do this when there are a lot of moving parts, you can't make each fight it's own through line.
Instead you gotta imagine the battle as one big line that flows through many fighters actions. Don't follow each participant closely, just show snippets of each participant as the battle flows. The first one to charge in lands the first blow, the opponents respond, the big guy makes a heavy swing, an enemy dodges and counter attacks, another character does something, then another. It will be a mess of characters acting and reacting, and you can't stop it from being a mess. So you have to pick and choose which parts of the mess are worth describing as the battle ebbs and flows. FIgure out some cool things you want each participant to do during the battle, who they will be attacking, the order in which mons will faint, and ultimately how the battle will resolve.
It's just a different mindset. Write a big brawl how you would a 1v1, but with each side getting one action each 'turn' if you really want a simple way to put it.

>>57939375I'm not sure if there's an big picture headcanon they're trying to promote, but someone or a group of someones are stubbornly making edits to keep certain things at certain points in time even without citation and even when citations conflict with their views.
I'm guessing they watched a poketuber's crackpot lore video and still treat it as gospel.

Why do people still give a shit about finding some grand timeline after ORAS multiverseslop? Any gen without fairy types cannot be possibly tied to any of the gens with fairies. Every game is probably it's own universe except for BW/BW2 and RGB/GSC which are explicitly stated to take place x amount of years after.
>>57939625Because those people still think Gamefreak have thought things through and have a master design behind everything when really, as I've said many times in these threads, we've put more thought into it than Gamefreak have.
It reminds me of an interview a western translator had with an asian writer. It depends, I would imagine inside certain areas of cities pokemon of a big enough size are banned because they can very easily cause a lot of damage just by accident.
Both pokemon and humans are constantly looking for any excuse to battle, someone fucking around will very quickly find out. License laws fuck with this.
I think laws about releasing pokemon would exist, invasive species and all that. Pokemon conservation would be extremely big in the pokemon world.

I've seen other authors write chapters like these when they're cashing in or checking out, so I figured I'd mention it. >>57941084In my headcanon it's not fine to eat Magikarp because they probably taste like shit.
They are incredibly bony, with little meat and likely bottom feeders. Same as present day wild karp (no chance Magikarp are competing with grazers or carnivores) which means you'd have to do a lot of preparation for very little gain. This is probably another reason why they are so widespread, not even wild Pokémon want to eat them unless they are desperate because their NUTRITIONAL value is low.
Richfags probably keep them as vanity pets though. Only the upper 1% of Magikarp will exit the invasive brinepool that is their miserable species and evolve without the help of a Trainer.
>>57941585Apparently in the distant past Magikarp used to be stronger. My wild theory is that mad Gyarados kept either abandoning their offspring or cannibalizing their own younger kind, maybe even their own offspring, so at some point a mutation that made them undesirable meals came about and proliferated.

What took me out of the fic on many, many occasions, is the fact that the mary sue SI

Second, your friend's life has vastly improved instead of being fucked over like most average impostor stories, which gives you less of a reason to actually be concerned about them.
Third, even if you somehow had an intuition that your friend has been replaced... What are you going to do about it? How would you confirm your suspicions? If you find out the truth what could you even do? Who would believe you, and what would your suddenly super human 'friend' do if they knew you found out? You've seen the psychos here.
It's either potentially devote everything you have to trying to thwart an eldritch being based entirely on a gut feeling, or assume your friend is one of those kids that suddenly goes on to become champion at the age of 10.

Anyways speaking of possession, in Cyberpunk you can think "hey, someone's using her body thanks to some chip." Which was basically the plot of the game iirc or a form of "cyberpsychosis".

In a fic you could just have the Pokémon fight the trainer's team to gauge their level.

So following realismfags logic, pic related is what happens when two flying types pass by near humans.
Or in other words, just autists mocking other autists
>>57945790This is why the League regulates flying through licenses.

>Aurafags think aura needs to be cultivated and can ascend humans to legendary heights, meaning that baseline humans are weak as piss due to no aura and can be eviscerated by a regular pidgey, especially if the baseline human is an isekai-ee who has no innate aura>Realismfags think humans are as weak as us, meaning just existing on the same planet as a magcargo would immediately see them boiled alive
If you do isekai into someone else's body killing their family and friends by arranging "accidents" is the most logical course of action to follow. This not only frees you from any responsibility to them and eliminates the risk of being found out, but also gives you a sob story for the masses (free popularity boost) and license to act like a based brooding badass.
>>57945861imo people reach for extremes too much, I don’t think it’s difficult to create humans similar to us while also giving special ones aura faggotry or whatever, but for some reason autists here don’t like to think about anything beyond surface level shit

>>57945887Obviously. By taking over someone's body you have effectively killed them, and by killing them you have killed someone's child, someone's brother, someone's friend, someone's business partner, and so on.

What's an autistic hang-up you have?
I feel bad for canonincal Ashmons when reading Ashfics because they tend to not be caught as they are canonically and get replaced by new team members.
I always end up feeling bad thinking about what their life is like. And I'm not talking just about those Ashfics where he ends up catching a gorillion mons but the fics where he's got a sensible and proper team. It just feels "off" somehow. It doesn't help also that the authors also have super shit taste and give him ugly boring shitmons instead.
Like, just now, Spearow? Fair, that works. But why a Rattata? You already have the OG rat. Why a Horsea? Fishmons are avoided like a plague for a reason.
>>57946157How does Pikachu usually get utilized in fics where Ash becomes an aurafag? Does he get sidelined for a Lucario, or do writers usually also give him a powerset?
>>57946166Varies, really.
The rat gets dropped quite frequently too.
>>57946157I suppose that's because Ash's teams were always formed by the most popular/easy marketing cutemons instead of memeta teams and they want something normal/edgy/badass/whatever.
>>57946166I'm curious about this too, I don't read Ash stuff but the few a skimmed through always had a Lucario with a nerfed Pikachu because a wound or something.
>>57946206Ash actually has caught a lot of shitmons and uglymons. Like, look a the Hoenn team. Or the Unova team.
Shitneys is the only time they went full on shillmon with not a single odd or unsafe pick whatsoever except MAYBE Sirfetch.
>>57946191Ash without Pikachu just feels wrong, it's unthinkable to me
>>57946262The usual way I've seen to make Pikachu fuck off is for him to BETRAY Ash either when he's given to Ash by Oak, by electrocuting him seriously and causing real damage, or during the Spearow stuff by him bailing on Ash.
>>57946262Pikachu is probably the best way to get some type-energy auraslop now that I think about it in Ashfics, Killua created his godspeed by electric torture iirc
>>57946166Traveler turned Pikachu into a glass cannon, but that’s not an aura fic.

>>57945415I like the way Scrivener lets you divide scenes into separate mini-documents. I also actually use the synopsis and notes features. It's probably overkill for someone who doesn't plan as much, though.
>>57946586Held items virtually don't exist in the anime unless it's part of a pokemon's gag, like the rowlet with the everstorne and the focus band. Yes, apparently Ash was allowed to use two held items at once.

>>57946593It keeps an everstone in its stomach to use as a weapon or shield sometimes and it wears an outfit made out of focus bands that allows it survive attacks that would otherwise defeat it.

The meme rat takes punishments like no other while 2/3 shooting all its opponents.
I still cringe when I remember how it tanked a gorillion meteor mashes from Steven and yet Mega Metagross went down to like 1/4 of the z-move and a miserable iron tail.
Meanwhile you turn around and Bea's grapploct somehow two shots the rat while the rat is also too fucking retarded to just thunderbolt while "trapped" by its tentacles.
Could be misremembering but that's literally the one and only time the rat got defeated in shitneys besides Cynthia.
Leon Charizard got two-shot too by the way.
God, shitneys was such slop. I really ended up hating the meme rat because of how much plot armor it's got. Strongest trainer owned Pokemon in the world my ass. There's a reason why they didn't have it fight Garchomp, even for the bullshit it is they knew that'd be pushing the envelope and they still had it had one-shot Gastrodon with a fucking quick attack.
>>57946724>magic armorBro, what's wrong with using bug/grass type materials to make clothes, or dragon scales for armor? It can be excused in-universe and something everyone can wear (as long as they have money I guess)
>>57946765>one-shot Gastrodon with a fucking quick attackImagine reading something like that in a fic. I genuinely can't, not unless it's some metagaming gravitytraining aurafagging mewtwogenesing powerfantasy
>>57945920>>57945945A useless salaryman whose only worthwhile quality was his encyclopedic understanding of every competitive Pokemon meta, who was struck by a careless truck while crossing the road, and awoke in the Pokemon world as a 10 year old boy starting his adventure.

A would-be champion boxer who gave everything he had through hard work and grit, only to be effortlessly defeated in his first primetime bout against a natural-born prodigy, and died in the ring cursing that he was not born with that same talent, reborn in the Pokemon world as an infant Maylene, who discovered as she grew that she possessed an unnatural skill in developing her control over Aura.
These three blessed, cursed individuals who should never have met, one day cross paths at Blackberry Academy, a school for only the most specially gifted among all those in the Pokemon World. And when they do, their lives and the lives of all they meet shall forever be altered. Or perhaps... Cultivated.
>>57946790See, that's funny, because on a fic like that? It would actually be justified because 3/4 of the fic would be spent on explaining on extensive detail how why when and more of how Caterpie-sama cultivated so much that it can oneshot a +6 def Bastiodon with just Tackle.
Even such sloppy power fantasies have BETTER writing than Shitneys.
What's wrong with gravity chamber training?
>>57943388I can kinda dig it. I don't like the Speech TM existence in the Love Lost universe nor the pokefucking on and off camera, but I do like that it's a self contained story about a dude getting into a strange situation. It's not saving the world, but the stakes are high for this one dude and his new Sawbuck.
>>57944354This is alright and I like the different perspectives, but I read the first chapter and skipped ahead to another. Jumping Jehoshaphat, I like Misdreavous but MAN, why does it have to be Isekai?
Thank you both for the recommendations. Their presentation of the setting is charming.
>>57946866>I trained in higher gravity therefor my fire breath and sense of smelling are both stronger
Fuck gravity training, use weights like a normal person. Gravity will fuck your innards because you can't make them tough
>>57946871Ok, i can understand that.
>>57946866Honestly? It would be short burst of power because your body would adapt, again, to the normal gravity and all your gains would vanish unless you're 24/7 on, I don't know, 10x gravity.

Any community that wants a chance to prosper will need to kick out kikes like shaunberg. That includes universities, supermarkets, imageboards, and airlines.
Remember that shaunberg, the kike from tel-aviv, tried to pretend he had an """iphone""" at first, then a substandard (((prebuilt))) """desktop""", then a Samsung, and now some IBM (compatible) shitbox. Like all his kind, he'll never be able to get his story straight. After all, he tried lying about being from (((Stern))) despite his IQ and SAT score being far too low for anything above a shithole like CAS. The fable his fellow shartyniggers try to spread about him being an American, therefore, is an outright fabrication from some yidsraeli who can barely speak English. He even has to wait until this hour to use some shitbox without permission, after supposedly """buying""" (stealing) some useless machine to post from. One can't help but notice how it's always the kike shills and their hired shitskins who support him, or his filthy jew family that buys shitphones for him and lets him reset their routers, or his fellow jews who let him beg them for freebies.
He'll never be able to deny this because shaunberg, as a yid, has no spelling errors when typing in his native language, yiddish. Meanwhile, whenever he tries to type in English, so many typos abound. This alone is enough to out shaunstein as a filthy jew, who was kicked out of Nasser Yorat University and not New York as he tries to imply, and was rejected from the University of Tel-Aviv and not UTM. As a member of a (((tribe))) with a professional victim complex, shaunberg's only available instinct when punched by a single pajeet was to curl up and beg for mercy, then play the victim later, rather than fight back like a real man would.
>>57946890actually I think it's the opposite, like a human can potentially live under higher G, but using weights puts stress on specific joints and fucks them up.
For anyone interested in gravity training
https://en.dragon-ball-official.com/news/01_462.html
>If the place you live has stronger gravity, then you need more muscle mass to withstand it. I think beings raised in a high-gravity environment would naturally evolve to become stronger than those raised in a low-gravity one.
>Strictly speaking, you would say that, due to the increased gravity, the neural network in their cerebellums was being optimized more efficiently, since it's the cerebellum that handles the acquisition of motor skills.
>When you're first exposed to higher gravity, the sensors in your inner ear (semicircular canals) begin outputting at a greater rate than usual, and that signal strongly stimulates your cerebellum.
>It's believed that, if you then perform training under those conditions, the increase in the rate of synaptic transmission (cell-to-cell communication mediated by synapses) that's generated in order to minimize movement errors (the difference between the movement you intend and the movement you physically perform) is greater than under normal conditions, which in turn speeds up motor skill acquisition. This is the mechanism that operates in the brain under hyper-gravity conditions which increases your physical abilities. It's also our best explanation of Dragon Ball's gravity training with our current understanding of neuroscience

A. Isn't rich enough to buy a proper "starter" Pokemon from a professional breeder and buy an electronic Pokedex.
B. Didn't study hard enough to be in the top percentile of testers in his Pokemon Trainer's License Exam that would gift him an electronic Pokedex and proper starter.
C. Doesn't have the privilege of being the LITERAL NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR of a Pokemon professor.
His starter Pokemon is a Nidoran M.

>>57947591>Didn't study hard enough to be in the top percentile of testers in his Pokemon Trainer's License Exam that would gift him an electronic Pokedex and proper starter. When did this start being a thing in fanfics anyways? Was it thanks to the manga or something? In the anime everyone gets a pokédex when they start unless they're bad guys and even then that changed in Journeys and in the games the professor gives you one after feeling your otherworldly aura compared to the 99.99% of the jobbers in the region (meaning every other living trainer)
>>57948182>It makes shounen slop look tame in power scale and asspullsAnd, depending on the story, the scientific and philosophical linings are typically much greater. In shonen it's almost always the power of friendship and determination can overcome all odds, but in cultivation we also get philosophy and (pseudo-)science and more.
Which is exactly the kind of stuff a lot of fics try to touch on but only really dip their toes in. Only Nutritionman dared to truly enlighten himself on the concept of Fire by first allowing himself to get nuked to understand the destruction aspect and then allowing himself to have sexual thoughts for a fire fox to understand the comforting and lifebringing aspect of Fire's warmth. All other isekaijin though? Bah. Cowards who gravity train to get enhanced fire breath. Such shortcuts to power are insufficient, those who do not court death will never bed almighty Giratina.

Kyogre is just right there and can just crash into the city. I’m having trouble reconciling this, or having it make sense. The games have them teleport to each other to avoid this, and I’ve seen stories massively scale up their sizes to compensate but I don’t really want to write a purely apocalyptic scenario.
