I completely agree with you, and that explains the very """modest""" performance of the new anime. This is Pokémon, one of the biggest franchises in the world, and yet Horizons doesn’t pull the kind of demand or viewership a series like this should easily attract.

I also agree with you, the lore of Pokemon SV is quite lore rich, it's obvious that the writers of Horizons wanted to do something else, they could have given us an entertaining story developing and expanding the lore of Area Zero, the Paradox Pokemon, Turo/Sada, more fanservice of all the SV characters, I mean what's the point of even setting this story in Paldea if all of its characters are cameos?
