Manga Gold's gimmick is that he's good at hatching Pokemon, but as a side effect any Pokemon he hatches will be born with one of his attributes his Pichu is born with his stupid hairstyle, his Togepi is born with Gold's face (seriously) and a horrible attitude. While Gold's Cyndaquil is from Professor Elm, if Gold ever hatches a Cyndaquil egg, the Typedo link could actually become real.

Assuming the leaks were real at all, and thus that document was real, English coombrained Twitterfags, through a combination of the shitty AI translations the leakers provided (which the Serenafags exposed) and, as you said, IRL folklore that the aforementioned Twitterfags lacked the culture to understand, misrepresented for their memes. Beneath the memes, people who actually knew the original myths understood how the documents came about: In order to prepare for creating the DPPt myths, Game Freak had people practice by rewriting existing myths while including Pokémon characters and concepts. They were writing exercises. Imagine if a writer had to create a horror-themed backstory for a Pokémon event, and so rewrote part of a horror story that included death and violence as a writing exercise, and then leakers later found and released it. You wouldn't conclude that Game Freak were writing gory horror scripts with Pokémon for shits and giggles.

Aside from some cultural nuances, I think the AI translation was rather fine. Even if some parts were badly translated, the gist of something questionable going on is still there (like, Typhlosion preventing the girl from leaving is already a red flag).
The most notorious part about the myth is possibly the translation of the word 少女. It can mean "girl" - which fueled the pedo meme - or "young woman", "virgin", "maiden". There's an age range from adolescent to young adult, which - depending on the interpretation - makes the tale more or less messed up. Since what I know is based on online dictionaries, other anons fluent in Japanese should clear this up.

One of the documents had a mention of XY director Yajima getting harassed on Twitter by western fans back when Serena returned in the PM19 series, and machine translating autists were trying to push the idea of the harassment coming from Serenafags that for some reason didn't like the episode, rather than the far more obvious (and later proven to be true) idea that it came from Mistyfags upset about Serena returning in general because it threatened their ship.

A bit of the latter actually. I downloaded and found the word files buried in a folder, and the stories have several versions and revisions with slight changes, and in fact fact there was another, near identical story that swapped Typhlosion by Piloswine.

I'm inclined to think they were legit because the folder was buried among GB and GB of files, and the docs' metadata had as authors some obscure GF staffer names, the kind that you can find buried in game credits. As >>57950140 points out, the problem was shitty AI translations and the lack of nuance or understanding about slang. For example the word used to refer to the girl was a general word used to refer to a young woman (literally how we use the world "girl" to refer to a young woman) but retards interpreted it as "a minor" and rolled with the pedo bullshit.

It was actually one of the softest stories in the folder though, almost a beauty and the beast romance kind. In contrast to

Most likely they were brainstorming yokai-like stories for worldbuilding without intent to make it public. All of this probably ended becoming the infamous "in ancient times people married Pokémon" line from Canavale library.

The Slaking rape story definitely disturbed me more than the Typhlosion one, because at least Typhlosion was sort of a gentleman that some weird yumes can fawn over. And I only heard of the Octillery one but was wondering why people kept talking about Lapras in that context. Of course if all the documents were in Japanese then naturally everyone was going to make the shittiest possible translations of them and spread around the ones that are meme worthy instead of translations that are accurate.

Ngl playing DPPT and finding the Canalave library book line was funny the first time, but I never thought GF actually had to get into the fucking details (pun not intended) of it all. The vagueness made it still feel like it fit the Pokemon world, even though the new Sinnoh "OUR LEGENDARIES ARE LITERALLY GODS" lore was already pushing it for me.
