1st season was weird. It's like sometimes they wanted to be different than the games. Didn't this happen to the Mario Bros Movie too? I think she's alright. She kind of had an archer aesthetic with those old Japanese bows. In the manga a lot of trainers have a sort of catching gimmick like Gold's pool cue or Bruno's retarded nun chucks. The bow makes a lot more sense.

She's one of the only trainers to main my favorite Pokémon line, so I like that about her. She's also a lot more chill than other female characters, which makes her appealing to me.

Erika's always been my favorite Gen 1 gym leader, her episode in the anime was really fun, she's really cute, and the lore they have for her in the games is all really funny if you know it.

She falls asleep standing up like a horse and they gave her a Dratini in the TCG. Honestly her team in the games could have used that variety, you can sweep her entire gym with a Mr. Mime.

It's sad how she kinda vanished with time, but even characters like Brock and Misty had that happen with time. Even Gary stopped being a meme as much, newfag Pokefans hardly even play the older games.

On that note, rewatch her anime episode, it's got some good screentime from Muk, I love how he deals with Bellsprout.

I honestly find it hard to deny, makes too much sense with the way the map is designed to have you go to Lavander Town before Celadon and how Agatha was not assigned as a ghost trainer initially. Maybe they thought maybe her character seemed tok similar to Sabrina? I honestly think Erika would have been way more popular if they stuck to this, a quiet shrine maiden who communicates with ghosts is a more fun character.

She probably smells like Gloom for sure, erika definitely spends a lot of time around Glooms. The pokedex says the glooms smells incredibly foul and that stinks over a mile away, and if is unwittingly inhaled, it can cause fainting, however the pokedex also says that around 1 out of 1,000 people enjoy sniffing its nose-bending stink, i have the headcanon that erika is definitely part of that group of people, (otherwise why she would like gloom so much?), therefore think about it, Erika smells, no...
