Who is your greatest starter of all time and why?

Chikorita is the best starter in the first 2 gens competitively in OU. I REPEAT CHIKORITA IS THE GREATEST STARTER OF THE FIRST TWO GENS. That is why CHIKORITA IS THE BEST STARTER OF ALL TIME imo. (Mudkip is also pretty cool)

Alright man, we heard you the first time in the other thread.
You're right and all but you don't need to be annoying about it.
Also Chikorita is not the best starter because of competitive usage in gen 2, it's the best starter because it is cute! CUTE!

Before the 3D era I would agree, although Totodile comes close.
Unfortunately the 3D models were not kind to my beloved pear, and I think Totodile's shiny passes it from gen 6 onward.
