The current wave of AI generated art is just a handful of years old. I remember when the best you could find was the Deep Dream stuff that just turned everything into mutant dog faces. The technology is in its infancy, and already, some random gimp on /vp/ can use it to effortlessly mock up complex scenes with a coherent artstyle. Even if the technology never improves again, it's still good enough to make the majority of human artists economically unviable. It won't stop here. You pride yourself on being able to recognise when a picture has been generated by AI, and you won't realise when that stops being reliable. The genie is never going back into the bottle, and if you insist on despising everything AI touches, life is going to become more and more obnoxious and infuriating for you every year.
