Crazy how it's been nearly 10 months and all tpci has to say for themselves is "we are printing more". Like that's cool man. The scalpers will just buy up the extra stuff you printed. I haven't really seen an uptick in ETB's, triple blisters, or booster bundles.

At this point the only way to salvage this situation is to either

It also gets around the bot problem since at this point, let's be honest, they aren't going to beat the bots. Every step they take to counter them is wasted effort since botfriends just figure out a way to get around them. So instead of trying to counter the bots, just heavily deter people from using them.

JP boxes can be mapped because they have guaranteed hits, and since they're like $40 over there, the just buy a bunch of them, rip a bunch until you get the chase cards, then stuff the remaining unopened boosters into boxes and act like it's untouched

For the actual collectors here, does anyone know of an app or a google doc setup or something that you use to track your cards?

Specifically my autism is demanding something i can edit/check off on my phone and my computer relatively at a glance if i'm out at shops/cons/whatever. A while back I remember someone posted a google doc checklist they'd made with vulpix cards but I don't know if google sheets got shittier or if i'm just stupid and don't know to use a computer cause I can't figure out how to fit images and formatting in cells.

Something kinda like this but online? I feel like collectr or whatever those tracking sites are are a bit too much since a lot of them have broken images or track every reverse holo variant and whatnot, just ends up being too much to sift through

Do you just need to track your cards as a list? I use collectr and it works fine, you can create a portfolio and only add the exact card variants that you have, i.e. you search for Sigilyph 081 and you get the list of surging sparks variants and you select the regular or the reverse, add to portfolio, and it will only add that one variant.

If you need an app that also sorts your cards in a virtual binder pages layout then I'm also looking for one.

There was such a massive reprinting during late spring early summer that all conventions/ shows basically only had 151 singles at booths and most sellers wouldnt accept them for trade in anticipation of the singles collapse/ drop.
All the singles are waaay down from their peak as a result. This set was EVERYWHERE in 2023.
I dont know what peoples issue is with this set, its like they only wanted it after they saw other people playing with it. Like a kid seeing another kid with a ball.

Collectors can still be autistic about the first editions: an actual base set zard is way more valuable than a base set 2 or a 25th anni reprint, for good reason, but many people only want a cosmo holo zard in their binder without spending thousands.
For example, If TPC releases an evolving skies reprint with a "2" logo in a corner, a LOT of people (including myself) will settle for the Moonbreon reprint, while troo collectors will still chase the og cards.
Scalpers will scalp regardless, but reprinting the hugest memest set will break the investorfag market because no one knows who will be reprinted next. Prismatic? Gold stars? Lillie's cunt?
