I think he's been here before too. I remember arguing with someone about them not letting Stuart Zagnit voice Professor Oak when he came back in BW. They were arguing that it would be unfair on Oak's current voice to lose the role to the OG despite Cathcart already voicing Meowth and James as well as being the script editor and so on. Considering that Oak was widely regarded as Cathcart's worst role and Zagnit's Oak is beloved I can't imagine who other than Cathcart himself would argue that Zagnit shouldn't be allowed to voice Oak again.

This guy was so catastrophic to the dub that I don't know who was actually upset he was forced to step down due to health. This thread is mourning him as "beloved dub voice actor" when people only liked and remembered fondly one voice of a character, Gary, that only showed up sporadically. No one likes his James or Meowth YA DIG LET'S NAB US A PRIMO POKÉMON. No one GOT PSYCHED for his writing either DIG IT YA MUGS. And yeah his Oak was terrible. Awfully convenient to suddenly go from voicing a side character to voicing characters that appear in every episode while also writing what they say.
