No, but honestly... I think it would be smarter to abandon the 'pick a cute starter via your version' idea. Nothing is going to compete with Pikachu and Eevee. Keeping the 'special starter that doesn't evolve' is too limiting to make another game around. The only Johtomons who are anywhere near that level of iconic would be Pichu and Togepi.

As baby pokemon it would just be ridiculous to keep them babies forever compared to Pikachu and Eevee who have a history of being competent when not fully evolved.
My first thought was to make it based on the third Johto game, like PE was inspired by Yellow. But Lets Go Suicune feels like it just wouldn't work. I considered something off the wall like Smeargle and Unown, but thats also ridiculous. I also want to say just make 1 version that is just Togepi that can evolve, but that sort of defeats the appeal of getting to play with a little buddy.

Aipom and Sneasel do work as cutesy mons that would be justified in not evolving. But they don't really have that Pika/Vee appeal. I could see them spinning it as more 'cool' though.
BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THAT.
What I wanna know is what role do you think they'll give Ethan, Silver, and Kris when they get replaced by new characters? Blue became a mentor figure to the protagonist, Leaf assaults the player, and Red is Red. But they'd need to get creative if they wanted to pull the same thing, and it was one of my favorite parts of Lets Go. And what about the new rival?
Some random ideas I have is Silver has become a mellowed out guy who is much more invested in the return of Team Rocket, Kris has a direct role in events surrounding the legendary dogs and/or the box legendaries, and Ethan and Red challenge you to a doubles battle.
