These are all as predictable as 2 week old milk going bad.

It always ends in gorey dismemberment.
If that's the joke, we'll I guess it's their.
If it's some kind of lampshade of pokemon as demonic, and a Christian warning, it's glib.
If it's neither of those, it's one note and an excuse for the artist to draw autistic mutilation.

Let's think about it for like ten seconds.
If everyone who gets involved with these things always dies horribly, why is their A. Anyone left that could train them. B. any one even attempting to train these murderous creatures?

The very first comic has it correct, they SHOULD be feared, cause these little hellspawn are a living Final Destination for anyone that dares.

In short, this sucks, and has NO intelligent thought put into it to be either a Christian warning, or a straight laced murder fantasy.

I don't know, I think is ok. Edgy Pokémon that kill their trainers? Is fine for the shock factor, but if he wants to truly use the idea, maybe he will have to turn the story from "lel goremon" to "Humans vs demons".
The world is one where humanity WILLINGLY brings demons to use for random things until thw demon gets bored.
You can make the story about the tale of a so called "Demimon Slayer", who fights Demimon to avoid being killed. Trainers can be random people who use demimon for fear and profit, and the "League" is a collection of major demons (like Moloch in the beginning).
The champion has to be a demon prince, like Abbadon. You have the Slayer and the demons duke it out, blood everywhere, and then you can pick the end: a hopeful tale where a man proves that demons can be defeated and humanity deserves to live, or have him die and people accepting the demons used them all along, so now the demons go full murder spree on humanity and all is lost.
Personally, I would go with a mix of both: the hero dies, but the demon is slain, and humanity gather their forces for a second round. Meanwhile, one demon runs away and warns the second head, he eats the survivor, and thinks "I guess these humans weren't as foolish as I thought", and a battle start between Demons and Humans. Kinda like that scrapped story where Pikachu was going to lead a rebellion against Ash.

These mini issues are really just 'commercials' to try and introduce people to the world.

Right now were working on the first issue of a longer story, but I'd love to eventually get to a longer story where we go into how the world got this way and where it's going.

You're talented OP, somehow these comics nauseate me more than shit like Berserk. Maybe it's the contrast of the cute Pokemon-like creatures hitting clise to home, or the emphasis on innocent kids being eaten alive. Either way, these are very unnerving.

these are made by different artists so it was all them. this was accidental/coincidental, but I feel like the artists kind of capture an almost game boy feeling to them with the reduced colors and more simple style. I think it helps make it feel more familiar than just the pikachu parody.

Well, NTA but I like it. Sure, the gore factor can get a bit much, especially if we consider many artists are going through the classic Pokémon tropes and steps. Was that an artistic choice, or something the artists wanted?
In any case, this was interesting to see. If is some shock stuff, well, is fine. But if you make it a proper story and develop it correctly, who knows? Maybe this will be as good as Pokémon: Rusty edition (Dorkly may be totally basic humor, but that series is the peak of Pokémon parodies)

not sure 100% what you mean by this if you want to clarify, but if you mean the story beats those are done by me in the writing phase, and the artists more so focus on trying to make the atmosphere and cute-gore.

I have a full story I would like to tell over like 3 to 4 'seasons' or arcs or what have you, and these first comics are meant to be more like commercials. Each one is supposed to just feel like a familiar pokemon or digimon story but with the dumb dark twist of the children getting things messed up while establishing some lore and designs.

Right now we have a full length comic of 24 pages being put together for a story that's a parody of the lavender town urban legends. I'd like to tell the whole story across 3 issues but we shall see.
