Population 1/1 sketch cards when? topps is doing it with Star Wars/Marvel all the time. Decipher, Cryptozoic, Rittenhouse, Breygent & even early Inkworks. Why is pokemon against one of a kind artworks hand illustrated? This would compel me to start collecting modern easy.

Currently the manually drawn Pokémon cards (Never printed) are mostly sold by Chinese dealers on eBay whom cannot be trusted. Since they're likely to replicate sketches which aren't supposed to have direct copies. CZX does it and sells a single booster pack for $500 dollars, 5finity, Lord of the Rings Masterpieces 1 / Masterpieces 2 & evolutions.

It's just a logical progression for Pokémon at this stage. People on etsy will do commission fee of requested characters. All Pokémon has is secret insert rares that're 1/1000 boosters but still have a thousand printed copies in circulation. That's rare to you people? I don't covet that, it's mass produced.

Unless your buying the Japanese versions of those cards, most of them are below that price. That Marnie card in SW/SH base set used to cost $100 at its peak but now you can get it below $40. While the Japanese version of that card costs 10x as much compared to English.

I wonder if they intentionally put a bunch of really rare cards in at the beginning of a set run and then stop doing it after like a month

It's all random, but I do often think, why is it I can open 10 etb's and get nothing but everyone seems to pull the chases from 2 pack tins or blisters/sleeved booster packs?

On some level it does feel unfair that etb's/booster bundles/binders/poster sets can have as many packs as they do and you don't get a single hit

booster boxes are always calculated to have at least 6 double rare and rarer. you don't get that on ETB's and bundles that's why they feel like a rip-off. this isbthe reason why prismatic doesn't have booster boxes. they want to make it as painful as possible to find the chase cards there

I'm not sure what to do with the IR/SIR I pulled, I had a wants list and they werent on it so I'm considering selling them early and picking up the ones I wanted most in a few weeks but the Solosis and Roggenrola have grown on me a lot. The Solosis third evolution is a promo that comes out in 2 weeks as well so it would be so easy to have the full evolution line. Pic related was my wants list but now I'm considering a second page with

They just use the next biggest box that will fit your purchase + padding. I've gotten boxes both for 2 and 4 ETBs, even for when I order 3-pack blisters, pins or anything else not ETB related.

I tried recreating some modern cards in this style a while back and failed miserably, looking at this pic I realised I stupidly tried to keep the sprite proportional with the card artwork. Maybe I should try it again sometime.

So I pulled multiple art rares and also 2 Mewtwos the first couple DR booster bundles I got and now I'm not pulling anything now that it's been out for like a month. They do this intentionally, I'm so convinced.
