by being a super 1 dimensional boring sweeper. this is basically calyrex shadow (for gens 5-7) except even calyrex shadow can do some cool stuff like draining kiss and encore. blaziken is literally just survive 1 hit against a non scarfer, sd, and outspeed everything on your opponents team. dragon dancers have depth, as you can still be revenge killed by faster scarfers and +1 can be manageable, so you have to scout your opponent and chip away all their answers in order to get the most mileage out of your sweep. swords dance speed boosts takes away any possible nuance. non of it's "counters" can actually counter it before hdb, as the slightest chip turns 3hkos into 2hkos and 2hkos into ohkos. the best "counterplay" is to hope that it misses high jump kick (can't suprise it with a ghost as team preview exists). perma sun and Z moves also pushed it over the edge, so when they're gone, it became more manageable. some people say that the mega wasn't a factor, but even being able to gain a little bulk to do another sd is enough to do it. i hope that little shit languishes in uubl for the rest of its days.
broken shit can be fun. i actually love quite a few of the banned pokemon even if i understand why (though not always agree) they got banned. kyurem is probably my favorite mon in sv and its constantly teetering on the edge of being banned. blaziken is brainless and i seriously have no idea how anyone has any joy in using it. fwiw, it's an incredibly cool pokemon in adv. it has lots of answers, but a mixed attacker that can destroy skarm bliss is beautiful

Blaziken dev's faggotry was only matched by Dragonite dev's Dnite wank that not only gave it multiscale, but also prevented Zapdos from learning hurricane to keep "thundercane" exclusivity until the later gens.
