We know via the Tera leak that TCPI pays attention to the anime and will have it steer away from potential overlap with things planned for the games. Given Rakurium has been a thing for a while now in the anime and the overlap it has at least visually with mega crystals and the possibility that it may tie into the rouge megas I have to wonder if the similarities are intentional, either because OLM was told to make Rakurium like Mega crystals or because TCPI wanted to incorporate the idea of Rakurium into ZA and just have it going by a different name because Rakurium isn’t publicly known in the world of Pokemon.
