Why is Kalos so evil?
They had a team flare elite four member and their Professor who was gay with the leader of Flare and now a Flare Scientist became the professor. Why is she allowed to get away with being part of an evil organization bent on killing humanity?

Genocide that you have to pay into to avoid isn't *really* evil. Imagine if the ones with enough money were prepping to save themselves while burning the world and exploiting everyone else? Wouldn't that be nuts

Also, the end of the Special version of XY is a darker version of this. Lots of the populace paid to be members of Team Flare and assisted them. When Lysandre lost and failed and died, the general population went back to day to day and refused to acknowledge anything. They couldn't be identified so the vast majority got away with it.
