I'm dissapointed no sets reveals happened at Presents, but since I'm more of a /toy/ anon than /vp/ what are your thoughts on the upcoming Lego x Pokemon collab that will span years to come? Rumours say we get 6 sets in January for wave 1, one of them is a buildable Pikachu.

Literally what's the point?
Those bootleg legos that look like the party sprites are the only good way to do Pokemon Lego

When des the Mega Blocks exclusivity deal expire? You're not going to see a single reference to pokémon sets until that's ending, so no cunt gets sued

I'm pretty sure they still hold rights at the minute. Or do you think Pokémon WOULDN'T have pushed out adult crack in lego form for the endless monied casualnigs by now and are waiting for the 30th to begin shilling their shit?

This shit is going to get scalped even harder than most normal Lego sets and Pokemon trading cards.

They should just stealth drop it the moment they announce it, have the usual retailers limit their sales to one person only to prevent chimpouts.

Imagine trainer minifigs, Pokemon and Lego will charge bajillions for those especially for waifus.

Perhaps stores will implement a one-set-per-customer limit to prevent scalping.

>some sets will be overpriced (especially 4+, if available)
>mostly prints (similiar to Mario, Animal Crossing and Minecraft)
>pokemon are either minifig scale with special molds (animal figs), brick-built (Mario series) or similiar to the MEGA figs
>main focus on pokemon, if trainers appear, then the popular / titular ones
>more care put into the sets given it's a new Nintendo license
>perhaps a magazin series with builds and figures

Mostly legit, the closer the release date, the more credible it gets.

Doubt it. While the first months will have shortages, once the secondary market is saturated, copies will be available once Lego restocks. Not to mention lego sets being pricey, you cannot mass buy those like you could with card packs. Unless you have a few grands to spare.

Tell me you've only ever heard of TCG scalpers without telling me you don't understand how the scalping industry works, Yes motherfucker, there's cunts go out and buy palettes of crispy fresh new stock, costing upwards of thousands upon thousands of local currency units, because selling them individually for a mark-up each in a shortage earns them thousands more over the "regular" store profit intake for selling the same palette of goods at retail price (and likely a shitload more than a shop'd earn, with having less overheads, no shop front to power, staff and stick and other gubbins that equate to working out your garage being less costly than any comparable shop).

I get the concept, I'm just pointing out that sets like pic related (for the relatively low cost of 650$ each) are too expensive to buy en masse just to scalp the two (now one, lol) exclusive figs. Unless you also have a bricklink store to part out the rest of the set, but that would be way more work than just resell the minifigs.

I can be mistaken of course, Lego and Pokémon autists coming together would definitely be a sight to behold.

In all honesty, no set reveals will come from TPCI.
