I suspect that the spate of cool fishmon that we've seen in every title since Gen 7 Bruxish, Wishiwashi, Barraskewda, Basculegion, Veluza - maybe even Dondozo & Tatsugiri - were all designed by the same person or small group.

Its just the glut of colours and shapes on it that ruin them for me.
I know those types of fish are colourful, but they're hardly "garish"; they're mostly pleasant gradients.

Do you like the shiny better? The shiny is pretty great. >>58070760

I didn't pick more than one mon from any line, figured it would bloat up a top ten list. But yeah I could have said Smoochum rather than Jynx.

Yeah, that's the point kids. It DOES have sharp teeth, it COULD bite it off if it wanted to. Which is why a blowjob from one is such compelling proposition. You place your bodily safety at her whims. >posts/1247797 >posts/1122549 >posts/951479

Wow, spot on.
I wonder how many other shinies are inspired by Mario characters? Do we have goomba, dry bones, bowser?
Idk why I always liked bruxish. I hate a lot of the gay western art style nu-pokemon but bruxish is so unique and fun. Pretty solid all around. I would love for it to have more conventionally designed evolutions though
I don't really get what they were going for with the teeth grinding. The reference material says "grinds teeth -> projects psychic waves" but I feel like there is an intermediate step missing.
That said, it being a fish that just chomps and projects psychic waves while looking dazzling is already a complex enough concept.

With a BST of only 475, I can see Bruxish getting a Basculegion-like evolution in the future. Dunno what it would be. I almost want to see it evolve into something entirely different, like Remoraid does. Cuttlefish maybe? Mantis Shrimp? Something equally tripping balls
