Well none of the routes close by work for my schedule, and regardless I often have places to be if I'm not dealing with work or other responsibilities. Though it doesn't bother me much in the end because between all the walking, gym fights, and practice matches I can do in short order, it doesn't take all too long to bump up the affection meter. Rocket balloons or stops only help speed it up.

I live in a commuter town and four different people made routes pretty much from their house to the train station. No idea how they got past the crossing the road restrictions.

If you're planning on using PokeGenie, thats a perfectly fine team.
If your shortmanning it, your better off running Zacian and Zamazenta as your tanks. Butterfree can only learn Bug and Psychic moves, so Zacian's number 1 with Zamazenta slightly behind.
Blissey is roughly as good as Zard when you factor in the type match-ups, so unless you plan on healing, it's fairly average for this fight.

Nah, I don't vibe with spoofers. I placed those two deep into the woods near the low-income neighborhood. The one that got taken out was on the outside of the woods. In an attempt to evade spoofers camping out my local showcases, I've taken to walking deep into the woods to a long-abandoned area of stops and gyms that almost no one interacts with. I think the only times someone contested with me this year were during the Regi showcase and the weekend Eevee showcase.

Finally found some Toedscool. I hope this pokemon is worth the effort. It took all day but I did get a decently IV'd mon for PVP and a few 3stars. No hundos tho.

But I noticed something as I passed by gyms while hunting. It seems Team Valor has a penchant for putting random shiny pokemon in their gyms. Lots of Charizards, too. Makes sense, I guess. Team Mystic tended towards popular Smogon mons like Metagross and Garchomp. They had shinys too but it was noticeably less than Valor gyms. I feel like every Valor gym I saw had at least one shiny in it. Although, I also saw a surprising amount of Slaking in Mystic gyms. I thought that pokemon was bad for just about everything, tho?

Not much in the way of Instinct gyms, only saw a few and nothing too notable stood out except one. It was on a hiking trail and had only a single Soble in it with 2 combat power remaining. I've never seen that before. I didn't even know a pokemons motivation could drop so low.

you're right, but I used a spoofing alt I made years ago when I was bored. I only care that he doesn't get the coins, not if I get the coins on my main account. I was just really triggered because I made walking there part of my daily routine again and some car ogre randomly spawned and is ruining it and will possibly continue to do so. It's different if he keeps knocking me out of the gyms and isn't physically getting in my way, but he's trying to block the path I'm walking on with his car. I'm a little torn. I don't think my current weak ass dynamax pokémon that I don't have fully empowered yet could defeat any other GMAX unless I get super carried. My best one is an almost hundo Excadrill, and an alright Metagross. I also have a chansley that I can evolve but I don't have any candies for maxing her heal. And other than that I have filler like Corviknight and Unfeasant.
So unless anything that's weak to steel or ground shows up I'm boned.

Personally, I like to have 3 of every dmax mon that I want to evolve/train. So 3 chansey to leave at spots and farm candy for Blissey, for instance. You don't get XL, but even level 40 is good enough to do a lot and win the 4 person legendaries.

I've heard both extremes of it broken and dogshit, based on its unique mechanics.
You start a battle in Shield mode, where your attacks only deal 1 dmg and have a reduced energy charge rate. Once you use a charge move, you swap to Blade mode, where you remain until you either swap or use a shield.
There's apparently a "feature"/bug that makes it take way less damage than expected in Shield mode too.

It can't be used at all in PVE right now.

At 146 hitpoints, Lv 1 Spirit will recover 13 hit points to everyone
Lv 1 Guard will give yourself 20 hit points, but also bait attacks for your allies, which Zacian is particularly good at since it has a ton of resistances, and it's better at stacking, since Spirit can often waste hitpoints.
At Lv 1 alone, Spirit is probably better. But at Lv 2, we're comparing 40 hit points from Shield to 17 hit points from Spirit, so the gap widens enough to make Guard better, imo.

Either means your opponents are calling you out as noobs, or they don't understand gym defense.
A bulky water is important for gym defense to prevent a maxed out shadow metagross from mindlessly tapping away. Its slightly slower than swapping to main counters / fighting types, but its the most mindless way, because none of the core defenders can remotely threaten it, and you never have to worry about dodging or selecting multiple pokemon
Gyarados theoretically works as a way to cuck both Metagross and Fighting... assuming your opponent never gave their fighting types 2 moves. Both Machamp and Terrakion can immediately delete a Gyarados with double Rock Slide.
Typically, if you really want a Water that stops both fighting and metagross, the Slowdudes work better. They get crushed by Shadow Mewtwo with Psystrike/Shadow Ball (the typically 3rd in line for gym offense), but can at least force the 3rd in line to come out, since at best Lucario can answer to them for the fightings, but he's not particularly good at it
Another reason why Togekiss or Drifblim are shitty defenders despite what old strats might tell you. Does nothing to hinder a 2 moveset fighting type or shadow metagross.

From what I've read that's a "softban" that lasts a few hours, though there's also a weird workaround where you do 40 actions such as trying to spin a gym or send gifts or w/e, apparently its because it only checks your last 40 actions so whatever caused it gets removed from the list

I have been duoing / partying with my alt for years and nothings ever happened (nor have I read or heard anything of the such). It's agains Niantic's terms and services, but don't think they have a way of checking if your phone is running 2 simultaneously (nor do I think they care honestly).

Don't underestimate how autistic people can be about this game. Some people just have to be in the same gym all day, every day without fail. Having the annoying defenders just lets them use gold razz berries almost indefinitely until the attackers just move on. I've witnessed it firsthand. It's always best to put personal favorites and beloved shinies in gyms. Congrats on the shiny bug, it's a great one. Had two but traded one away to a guy I like. Other one I like to put in gyms.
