I have never tasted a jelly filled donut. Whenever I eat japanese food, I always order something else. Is it worth trying out?

It's rice and seaweed. These ones don't even look like the kind with a pickled plum. I'm pretty sure if you've ever eaten a sushi roll, you know what a jelly donut tastes like.

Yeah I generally order sushi rolls. So I guess I took the right choice, to eat rolls instead of jelly filled donuts. Thanks for the reassurance.

Anonymous No.58071918

The rice is seasoned with a bit of vinegar and the seaweed is salty'very slightly fishy, sometimes they've got sesame seeds on them or fillings. I wouldn't call it totally bland but its definitely on the understated side

I saw a small plastic packet of premade dried seaweed strips from the store one time so I bought it to try. I took one out, just a little paper thin square of seaweed. The package smelled awful inside and when I tasted it it was something I had to spit out immediately and throw away. Did I just eat the wrong kind of seaweed or am I a tastelet?

It is an acquired taste but also if its sushi nori you're not really supposed to eat it on its own

I expected it to be like a really salty leafy green since it's a plant that grows in the ocean.
