For future reference, any time an attack says it will generate a certain type of energy for you from the energy zone, it will create that energy no matter what energy type you're running for the deck. For example, you could put Pichu in a fighting deck and it will generate lightning energy for you no matter what.

People are sleeping (heh) on this lil dude. Baby ramps him, give him an energy before retreating, and he comes out with 70 damage no drawbacks right away because you didn't attach energy onto him from active.

Really oppressive opener. I used it in my Rayquaza x Ho-oh deck to finally answer Oricorio. At first I was using Regigigas or vanilla Rayquaza since it felt like it'd be a waste to not use a high cost normal type alongside Ho=oh. But I onyl really need it to counter one single card so they were dragging my deck down. This guy is good enough to carry his own to the point where I sometimes prefer just opening with Magby + Komala and just manually energize Ho-oh from bench while he carries the early game.

Because it's an immersive that's animated, and the artist isn't animating it. A team of other people are. And if you're coordinating a team of people, they all need to be on the same page. There's most likely a planning stage for what they want the scene to look like, how they want the animation to flow, the camera direction, etc. And that all depends on the actual drawn composition of the image.

So for maximum efficiency, it makes sense they'll give a sketch to the artist of exactly how the scene has to play out. The artist needs to follow that, because the animation team is working in parallel with them and not waiting for the completed artwork before they finish the initial steps like rigging and effects. And he artist doesn't follow the exact composition, he just fucked up the project for everyone else working on it.

This is of course some speculation on my part, I think anyone who's worked professionally on group art projects understands what I mean. Being paid to do a single illustration that only you will work on is going to have more freedom than being paid to work on an illustration that others have to work on as well.

They'll most likely be using the same artist. They went very much out of their way to honor her reputation, especially because she was getting harassed as a result of just doing what she was paid to do. It's not her fault they fucked her over. So I'm sure they're having her redraw it But even still, there's planning stages and such with all of this, They are most likely running on a very breakneck deadline but I'd imagine this stuff is usually complete like a month in advance. So who knows what the actual timeline of this stuff normally is. What we do know is that it's now over a week since the set has been released and there's no new artwork yet, so at the very least the process is more than a week to complete. Maybe it's like 3 weeks to a month on average and they're aiming for 2 weeks tops at crunch time pace.

I feel like they shouldn't replace Lugia. The artwork was original and good. Just redo Ho-oh and replace it from the animation. Surely it's done in layers so they can just replace it and keep it as it was before...
