It's not about 1, it's about migrating your new maximum to 200 for your units. They literally give you a full set to hit 200 for making it to just 1, which isn't outside of a player's reach. If you mean a literal fresh beginner, they're more concerned with working up through 110, 125, and 140 first before even thinking about 150, 180, or 200. The 150 migration itself would take a really long time.

I wish the tower was more like Norman's UB. I like the fact it can be cleared with three general pool units with right investment and a bit of luck. It's more a puzzle than an unga-bunga max damage battle. That's what I'd rather see from the Towers. Instead of copy and pasting the same restrictions, a battle mode that actually asks you to consider what's in your general pool and how you can mix and match to clear the challenges. Not something that depends on you to have pulled the right unit a year or two ago.

Have Grass and Fire challenges that ask for weather, so you know you'd need SS Erika and Blaine respectively. Have a Rock challenge that includes a team-wide Fissure, so you'll need Roxanne. Throw in all the units from the first three or four years into the General Pool so there's more options. Considering we're getting free rolls via the gyms, this would excite people more than just the three new Support gym leaders. Yes, you can complete them with the overpowered units, but at least beginners have a shot and are given a way to learn about General Pool units.

You're focusing a little too much on the beginner part of Beginner's Guide and not the fact it's a guide. It's a roadmap to help beginners have an idea of what to work on. Not all of it is to be done at the same time. For instance, the guide also mentions completing Battle Rally as a mission. You can't unlock Rally without beating CS on Hard Mode. You can't unlock CS without finishing the original main story. There's a progression to be made through the mission completions. And since 180 and 200 are higher numbers than 100 (original cap) and 140, you need to progress through gameplay to work your way up to those heights.

They wasted months of development time to put up a giant sign to say you're poor and weak and to be rich you need to give us more money. A giant sign that gives you scraps in return while also withholding an upgrade material from you. That's why this game bleeds players. Last thread there was the most retarded argument comparing this to mainline post game content. You aren't charged extra money for a chance at getting your Dragonite and Amoonguss. It only takes time and patience and you can eventually build yourself a good team. And once you have your good team you're finished you can go play your content. No amount of time playing this game would you ever reasonably be able to clear most of these. Even if you have all the units you don't have enough candies for 5/5 or 10/5 or the probably eventual 15/5. What instead happens is the game will start designing units like they already have with summer Cynthia and academy Gladion here roll for these or it's literally impossible to clear. I enjoy my 10 minutes a day on pokemas, and I also know the game could be a lot better but to be fair, whenever I try playing any other gacha and drop it before reaching a month because they're either extremely greedy, have dogshit rates, have dogshit rng content, force me to farm for hours or just push out millions of banners per month, I get less annoyed with this game for a while.

It sucks a fair bit, but in a way I can digest and bear through. Probably a matter of being a non PvP focused game and being part of a brand where you already know which characters you'll like and which ones you won't give a shit about, idk.

But between this and bootlicking pretending Towers being so stacked from 22-25 onwards is fine, especially since they'll most likely release more floors in future, I think there's a lot of difference.

Also fuck whoever at DeNa greenlit this idea of putting out 18 towers when 5-6 of these even with every pair in the game won't let you pass room 20-25. Idc if it's permanent content, missing out on a UB and missing out of 1/3+ of a whole tower because the type is dogshit isn't the same thing. UBs are clearable with literally who units + a support carry (NC blue/arc Steven) or a DPS carry + a mid tier support, but clearing a tower requires 1 highest tier meta support and 1 meta Phys and special striker each, plus units of the type who can status and actually enhance the other two. Far from stuff like "use haze/trap/use this specific WTZ" like UBs did for the vast majority of clears.

Ultimate Battles are just extreme battles but more tedious. Tower is just ultimate battles but more tedious. At some point extreme battles retroactively became cancer with constant accuracy debuffs and gimmick checks instead of things you could clear with some creativity. The game is just bloated. The devs don't feel the players will roll if they already have a good unit of each type. Champion stadium back then they tried a little to force you to have a physical and special of every type but you never needed the BEST physical and special of every type.

Gladion is self explanatory but look at how Carmine completely invalidates any other grass support. She's extremely tanky with self heals, has field, and inflicts status. And she actually buffs defense stats. She was completely designed around tower. If anyone was wondering why Ethan inflicts paralysis well there you go.

Extreme battles before ultimate battles I think were the only time in this entire game challenge content felt satisfying to clear. Getting the clear without the shill units or unga bunga Red Pikachu and just using whatever you had laying around felt like a fair doable puzzle. When champion stadium and extreme battles were the only challenge content, people used to say this game was chill and you can use your favorites. Look at how no one says these things anymore. Extreme Battles were not permanent content though, so there was a real FOMO involved there. For Ultimate Battles and Towers they're permanent content which increases their difficulty. Why would they introduce something easily clearable as permanent? I tried Arc Ethan for the first time and I gotta say, I have no idea how to use him effectively. If you attack too early, his zone ex won't last until he syncs, you want to use his TM only after you attack (since attacking increases Sync Move UN, which is a factor in his sync countdown reduction), which wastes zone time, and the only way to not attack is to spam Thunder Wave. Does his toolkit make any more sense at higher move levels?

In general, if you're not giving him cake and you're not giving him a Flying Zone setter ally, you would hold off on Aeroblast as long as possible while clicking empty Thunder Wave instead. You would time his Aeroblast as the last action before his Sync, click Aeroblast after his Sync to buff his Sync Up Next, then finally click his B Move after that (because the unlock condition needs Sync Up Next and his Sync just depleted it) before the zone ends.
