It's colorless energy so can be splashed into any deck. It gets up pretty fast with babies, and it's pretty good with a variety of mons you'd never expect to see much play like Snorlax EX and Paldean Tauros. It snowballs hard when it falls in place because you're just so far ahead energy wise plus it does 80 damage on charge. The damage part is something I think people underplay, You soften them up for your charged partner to kill next turn, so it applies intense pressure if you get just 1 charge out.

Nah, this set is pretty good. Darktina is in a good spot. Still a bit overpowered but it has a lot more answers to it now so it feels more fair to play around. Its largest weakness is a slow early game in exchange for high damage output mid-game. We have decks that outpace it now when played right. They still have a good chance of winning but they aren't dominating. Babies did well by giving everyone the ability to battery like Giratina, but with a different tradeoff.

Means your deck is way too linear. Sometimes you really do just get shit bricked luck, but giving yourself options makes it less a game of coinflip and more one of who can pivot in the most circumstances. This is why stuff like Macargo are really boring; you just have one single flowchart to victory really and it's not very flexible. From what I have seen, it's just a very consistent deck that isn't particularly prone to bricking.
Neither Sylveon nor Espeon deal that much damage, sure, but what does that matter when the former, alongside Prof. Oak, let's you draw your entire deck by turn 3/4, meaning you will probably have everything you need regardless of what happens (unless your opponent has Mars or Red Card), and the latter heals enough to nullify less powerful attacks and last enough to set itself, and the bench, up (which doesn't take long since neither of them have particularly high energy costs).
