morally it's wrong in every respect but with how they're protrayed in key medias they're nothing like the physical package, kids are unfiltered, obnoxious, spiteful and quite honestly annoying to deal with their undeveloped demeanors, fiction is a front that mostly discards all of that stuff and just gives the "cute" or whatever comes alongside it depending on what material it is.
if one's into it then yeah they're fucked mentally, jumping mental loopholes won't change that but as they stay on their turf then there's no issue since no one technically gets hurt, it's fiction, not reality and even if you ask the real life equivalent you mostly get back to the same arguments, yes they're into that material, no they don't want the actual thing because of all of the god awful things that come with it and there's a good reason why the age range of 18 and over is a more ethical practice because they've become more conscious.
