Personally i just dont like how heavy on rng manip they are. Its just boring to watch a guy just walk through the game with nothing exciting happening.

I get why Lets Go took off as the speedrun favorite considering it forces constant routing decisions. Right now most games are either RNG manip or ground item collecting, so they're the same again and again.

Pretty much. It's fun to watch the successful runs and maybe highlights or spectacular failures, but most of the time it's just one guy sweating hard doing the same shit over and over, not really that fun unless you care about the technical aspect of it

Depends on which game you do a hardcore nuzlocke for.
No items, level caps, and gamemode set are just making the game somewhat fair in one of the actual games. You still have plenty of wiggle room to make mistakes.
In a romhack designed to be difficult, a hardcore nuzlocke just becomes a spreadsheet simulator dictated entirely by RNG.

There is almost no fucking strategy involved, it's all just getting lucky in 10000 hours so you get one good run that you will most likely win as long as you don't fuck up constantly

Pokemon speedruning is something where i'd gladly watch a video explaining what glitches and manipulations they need to do to get a good time but i would sooner stab my eyes out than sit there watching somebody actually do that in real time

Hate for speedruns always comes from immature people. Seeing something you love being enjoyed in some unexpected or foreign way, and having an immediate negative reaction to it is a common immature reaction from people with underdeveloped social skills. Akin to a child being upset that someone isn't playing with their toys correctly.
