But, as a side question: it truly is weird Lucy isn't as popular as other pokégirls. I mean, she is very direct and straightforward in her Facility encounter, the anime gave her some good episodes, and she was ok with Brock flirting her. Fucking Brock.
She also is the easiest brain, only needing two streaks to see her once.

Crystal was a ripoff but Emerald and Platinum were upgrades.
We now know how tight their dev cycles were, so we can see that duology as patches + dlc in modern terms, which is acceptable now. Emerald is the most expensive mainline Pokemon game on the planet.
