No one here has said it's real. There are about 3-4 versions, all of which are fan art created from leaked descriptions on Twitter.

They're just interpretations based on the description, but since official M-Dragonite is actually very similar to its "leak", it's very likely the rest are.

The point is its new shoulder wings act as pauldrons while all the fanart tacked on wings because of the description. Ergo, the descriptions are vague/incorrectly described enough to make the actual fanart off by several levels (all the M. Dragonite back wings taking 'roids, whiffing the Dragonair reference in the tail), meaning the actual megas will almost certainly not look as the limited scope of the fanartists' presented.

No, this release cycle's just been THAT dragged out, it feels like it. There's also the issue of kids (ie the 7-10 year olds who started with SV) not likely having seen megas before, thus EVERY reveal is a "new" mega to the target audience, meaning actual new ones can be relegated to "supporting cast" almost as Game Freak hnt there's new ones to come, but not have to hang the marketing cycle on, as there's more than just oldfags being told about this shit. They also pulled back HEAVILY on revealing what a game has to offer (Paradoxmons weren't revealed until the last trailer a few weeks before SV's launch) making it even less likely they reveal more than 3 to keep the rest as a surprise when they make their appearance in-game.

kind of a silly argument when megas still get constantly shilled in spinoffs, merchandise, and the anime despite being taken out of the main series games
at that point they may as well never reveal anything but the player character walking across one featureless area because it's all a completely new experience to the three year olds that have never touched a video game before
