>cute, amazing concept but awful awful execution. You can only play this game once a day, maybe twice if you play the game early in the morning. You get three short mini games that take less than 30 seconds each to complete and then they expect you to pay from $12 to $33 just to get more options or have unlimited play time. It's highway robbery, good luck being free to play with this game. it's just micro transactions

>This game was fun, until the near impossible difficulty levels of the puzzles. It's frustrating to no longer get pretty yarns because the difficulty scales too great. I can't imagine 95% of the people who reach the higher puzzle levels to succeed on all 3 without getting lucky. It defeats the purpose of being "fun" when you're feeling the pressure of rushing with a mere minute to solve each puzzle. I feel extremely disappointed to have wasted money on this product.

>This is just the latest ridiculous cash grab from Nintendo. Do not pay almost $34 just to buy a finished puzzle game. The entire game consists of "do 3 puzzles daily, make 1 or 2 plushies and give them to NPC's, then decorate your little room". That's literally it. You then have to wait until the next day to do anymore puzzles. It's a cute little time waster for when you have to to the bathroom real fast and don't wanna be bored. Just incredibly lazy.

Wow, it's almost as if Pokémon is a casualfag series that "hardcore" gamers just can't understand its remits.
In my opinion, this is that teeth brush companion or Sleep tier - a nice wee app for kids to play with daily for the interaction, but ultimately not something aimed at an audience older than 13, nor expected to or built to cater to same.

It's just a collection of simple flash games, some being gyro which is kind of inconvenient since I only tried to play it when I was in bed but the gyro games expect you to have the device flat. Would have to awkwardly tip it around blindly and then tip it back to see if I got it right.
Besides that personal problem, you can only play 3 of the minigames a day if you're f2p, granting you a total of about 90 seconds of gameplay, The difficulty goes up quite slowly like this as well, so you're stuck doing infant tier puzzles. The puzzle game I used to play on my GBA when I was like 3 years old was more advanced. F2p also have a very limited selection of pokemon you can obtain
Of course all of that is just to give you a taste of the game (I assume), since they want you to buy it outright. Respectable enough, and I would've, but while the base model for the game is $10, something I could almost justify, the full game is $34. I am just not going to bother

The funny thing is that this makes literally no difference. This game can still be universally hated, TPC and GF will keep swimming in money, half-ass the main games and make more mobileshit regardless.

why are japtard developers so bad at mobileslop games anyway?
nintendo's mobile games are particularly bad, which is weird since their console games are polished and fun

Nintendo is also the only company that puts anti-emulation measures into their mobile games too. This automatically loses them a huge potentially audience from people who like to play mobile games on PC or their phone isn't compatible with certain games.

I don't know but the main thing I noticed after trying it is that it seems to be literally impossible to get more than a handful of the "pokedex" without paying?

It is. Of course you will make the free version limited if you want people to buy the paid one, but you need to at least make the free version interesting enough for people to want more of it. This one gives you nothing. You can only play once a day, for 1 minute, to get a plushie and place it on a room... and that's it. There's nothing else to do. Do three cute but ultimately boring puzzles, get a plushie, place it on a room, and look at it.
Why would you pay for more of that??? The only people I can see paying for it are the absolute consumers, who are incapable of not paying for anything with a Pokémon label on it, or people who first checked it on Switch and didn't knew there's a free version on mobile.
And I say that as someone who is still doing the daily playing since it was released: there's just nothing to do here, and the feeling you get is that paying for it will just make you have nothing to do quicker. The only reason I am still playing it is because I am curious to see what you get if you play every day until your birthday (the game marks it on its calendar) and mine is next week.

Moments like this make me realize how young the fanbase is and I feel like a boomer. How is spending 30 bucks some Walter White dropping to his knees moment? I am an adult with a job, I make thousands of dollars a week. I thought the game looked fun but the mobile version sounded awful so I spent ten (yes I know, ten whole dollars!!) on the switch 2 version, I thought it was a fun little time killer so I bought the DLC bundle and have been having a lot of fun, I like the physics on the plushies. Once you get past Level 1 of the mini games there is actually a decent amount of games that make you think beyond just mashing the obvious answer.

This might be the ultimate filter game in the series. Filters out seething poorfags by charging pocket change for the actual full game, filters out browns and blacks by being cutesy, filters out tryhards by being casual, filters out doomers by being fun, filters out troons by not going overboard on the degree of customization, filters out nostalgiafags by having a good balance of generations, filters out newfags by prioritizing classic mons, filters out gaming journo fags by being a freemium game, filters out insecure manchildren by having a childish aesthetic, filters out nintendo lovers by being a mobile port, filters out nintendo haters by actually having a lot of content, uhhh yeah I’m calling based?

Try to dislike this game without sounding like a broke faggot who takes video game seriously
>protip: you can’t

>finally at long last there's more blatantly jewish PKMN game than that one GBA minigame creator that lets you do jack shit without the E-reader and physical gachashit DLC cards you had to buy in blind-bag bundles alongside normal TGC cards in order to unlock all of your game's features legitimately.

It's heavily money-gated collection of bottom of the barrel mini-games, but with Pokemon branding plastered all over it.
Actually better games used to come pre-installed for free on mobile phones. Hell, you probably still can buy these chink 999999999 in 1 handhelds for a price of 5$ + batteries. You can buy a fucking crossword and pen for less and still have more satisfaction with it than this mobile shitware. And if you're not into that - there are literal billions of free-too-play-unless-you're-retarded mobile games that still offer more bang for no buck. Pick your poison, sky is the limit in this category.
There's no reason to touch this fucking game, ever. Scratching your ball sack will probably entertain you for longer.

(cont.) After a while of listening to music and thinking, I finally realized what's exactly wrong with Pokemon, among other things.
TPC still is thinking that putting Pokemon branding on anything is good business, but in reality Pokemon is so ubiquitous and ever-present that only the rapidly dwindling population of genuine psychos still care about it. TPC in their chase for profit just became part of cultural noise, absolutely unrecognizable between Coca-Cola ads and Mickey Mouse plushies.

I had fun with it but the puzzles go from braindead to not really giving you enough time to finish them. The mobile version only gives you one set a day so I can see why the rating is so low and why the Switch version has the $10 entry point instead of being free.
Anonymous No.58097087
>>58095648 (OP)
The game itself doesn't seem too bad on its own, perfect fit for mobile and Switch. The problem is the monetization.
>mobile f2p is essentially a demo, Switch requires paying and has no demo
>$10 for the base game, includes 30 minigames and 70 plushies
>DLC at launch, $15 for each DLC pack, 10 minigames and 40 plushies each
Why does the DLC cost more than the base game while providing less?

Pokemon.com used to have flash games of similar quality. It even had a Trainers Club where you can earn tokens by interacting with the website, playing the site's games being one of them, to spend on customizing your avatar or in TCGO. All for free too.
