that's exactly what I like, but fair enough if you don't, I get it's not for everyone. it scratches my autism itch just right though.

I think the difference is that Pokemon's slowness comes from like the actual speed of the game, as in the movement speed, lengthy animations, the text, and the responsiveness of the UI. SMT is a game that makes you slow down to engage with its systems, but it's not physically slow. in fact, it probably has among the fastest and most responsive interfaces in a jrpg I've played. slowing down to think things through and teambuild, and being slowed down by the interface and literal speed of your character, aren't really the same thing.
