People theorizing the NPCs would line up with the UBs was fun as hell, Lillie looking like a Nihilego and Lusamine looking just like a Pheramosa were such bullshit red herrings honestly, though I guess the Lillie thing was intentional assuming Lusamine ran into one in the past.

Anyways I loved Gen 7 but without cutscene skip those games are unplayable a second time.

As far as I remember there was some confusion since everyone was expecting a Z to clean up some things and introduce zygarde into the story, some people that thought they were only making a new gen to capitalize on Pokemon Go, but there was still excitement for a new gen, especially since they weren't doing gens and there was the whole "EVERYTHING COMES TOGETHER" thing. Or maybe that was USM. I don't remember. It didn't end up meaning anything anyway.

It basically meant doing minor references to past generations with a strong focus on KANTO. After all, only Kanto mons got regional forms, and only Kanto mons got special Z-moves aside from Alola mons.

BDSP, the multi day downtime and phoneposting broken by the new captchas and post delays killed the board so hard that even pokegirl posters aren't motivated enough to flood it

I really liked the OG Chinese Riddler. His riddles actually made sense and not just in hindsight,but also left enough room for you to speculateon the execution.

I don't. I distinctly remember people here having a bad feel about these games and we were right. X&Y was the beginning of the decline of the series. ORAS was another letdown and S/M was the confirmation that the series was gonna keep this downward trajectory. Sword & Shield was the nail in the coffin. Anyone who enjoys any of the Switch games are just coping. Z-A is going to be the first one I'll give a try. And I'm sure if I enjoy it, it will be cope as well
