Used to watch the anime's eps at random as a kid, I always felt like it was kinda junkfood TV; not the most filling, but somehow still a guilty pleasure to watch.

I'm giving the OS a shot in proper order now, and I find it funny how like... I still sometimes feel that way, but then suddenly have moments of getting really emotionally invested in an episode. It's fun to notice that about yourself.
Anyway, it's a cute show so far, I like the sense of humor, but also how responsible Satoshi is about his pokemon. Honestly good role-model for all the kids watching.

NTA but I am more for the Free-roaming aspect for Zeraora. It's one of the fastest Pokemon and is often depicted outside of one movie as going around wildly. If it had debuted in the games as a catchable Pokemon then it might have been as a wandering mythical, like Cresselia was in gen 4.
