GF considers megas new pokemon and they do have new looks, stats, typing and abilities. I think the teraleak didn't clarify if they think the same about regional forms and mega-like forms but given all these also apply...
>Gen 1 = 151 pokemon
>Gen 2 = 100 pokemon
>Gen 3 = 135 pokemon
>Gen 4 = 107 pokemon
>Gen 5 = 156 pokemon
>Gen 6 = 72 pokemon + 48 mega evolutions (120 total)
>Gen 7 = 88 pokemon + 18 alolan forms (106 total)
>Gen 8 = 96 pokemon + 20 galarian forms + 16 hisuian forms (132 total)
>Gen 9 = 120 pokemon + 4 paldean forms + 26 megas (150 total)
How many proper new pokemon and regional forms do you think they will add in gen X considering it's the 30th anniversary of the franchise? Previous big anniversaries barely added a hundred mons (gen IV and VII)
