I played a Koraidon Lunala team all of Reg I and as you said, it's volatile. The games you win, you win hard, but sometimes you just lose, even when it looks like a 99% win. His skill hasn't kept up with the newer games whereas Wolfe has been consistent in winning regionals and even managed to win a Global Challenge. At a glance the teams might seem "almost the exact same," but Wolf's team was a lot different than the winning team. It was a lot more defensive and "safer" but that just isn't how you play Koraidon sun teams. Lunala without Meteor Beam or Calm Mind is weak. Amoongus has no offensive pressure versus Brute Bonnet which hard cucks the best restricted. Incin, while obviously great as support, doesn't have the "this needs to died in one turn" nuke power of Chi Yu in the sun (and it also boosts Lunala and Flutter Mane). We won't know the EV spreads for either team yet but I'd wager most of the winning team is 252/252 +speed for most and Wolf's is probably a bunch of bulky stuff trained to live key moves. He forgot the very reason he popularized LO Koraidon, it's there for a good time, not a long time.
