I don't think you guys understand that in the lore, Charizard, Machamp, and Gengar aren't specifically "from" Kanto. They're found in Kanto but aren't exclusive to there. In universe they aren't seen as any more Kantonian than they are Galarian. You're reading into this too much anyway, the real reason from a design standpoint of this poster is to not spoil any of the new Pokemon. It's the same reason your mom has a Munchlax instead of a Galarian Pokemon.

They are though. In universe they refer to what we say Kanto Pokemon as Pokemon first discovered in the Kanto region. Similarly there's the regional forms. You can find Geodude in almost every region but the regular rock/ground form is called Kantonian Geodude just like Zigzagoon's normal form is called Hoennian Zigzagoon

As one other anon pointed out, Gengar is kind of the representative Ghost Pokémon that GF would slap on any area or specialist needing more Ghost representation. Kind of like Geodude for Rock and Machop for Fighting. Very common but borderline fillermons.
It was from Gen VI and on that Gengar got any special attention and it has only been getting more and more ever since.
