I am actually curious how far apart Virbank and Castelia are. It does use a ferry and irl ferry routes are rarely longer than an hour, so at the bare minimum I'd say about 20 min away.

I for one think that it's awesome that some of Gen 5 were essentially parallels to Gen 1. Back then the majority were loud and they fucking hated it. But Gen 5 was great for me.
