In singles it’s self explanatory, speed is everything (that’s why Donphan’s in UU whiling Mudsdale rots in PU), that and most if not all of them have no reliable recovery

In doubles, not only do you have to face competition from more flexible megas but also from trick room sweepers they don’t take up mega slot (including but not limited to Iron Hands, Ursaluna, Hatterene, and even Armarouge, and that’s just the modern day meta).
And the only “slow bulky mega” used in a high level is Mawile, and you gotta thank Intimidate, Huge Power, and the best typing in the game for that.

Out of all the new “slow bulky megas” Skarmory and maybe Clefable in singles, and Scrafty in doubles (only because the latter as Initmidate much like Mawile in addition to Fake Out and STAB Knock Off)

Everything else (Emboar, Eelektross, Chesnaught, Dragalge, Drampa) may as well be as doomed as Slowbro, Ampharos, Steelix, Aggron, Camerupt, and Abomasnow

Emboar is set up for success because it has high HP which is the stealth factor for having a potential mega as HP doesn't increase as a stat. So any bulk it actually gets will go extremely far and its offenses are already good in base.

Not having a mega is a small price to pay to skip this game altogether. I hope Typhlosion isn't even in the national dex. You don't deserve him, TPC doesn't deserve him, GameFreak doesn't deserve him, the players don't deserve him, you are all full of crap that got scared by a Twitter joke. The only one of the 12 first starters without a mega in the end will be Typhlosion, right, and mega evolution is a pointless gimmick that only did harm to the game. It is a compliment to do not have one, to rely on a Pokémon's normal stats.

The only way to win in ZA is not being in the game at all. Megas will never be a real format. You can cope, seethe, rage and dilate. No one is even going to raise your pig. It is only going to appear where it rightfully should, in the rival team for those who pick Chikorita. Grim.

I don't belong in this fandom anymore. The amount of foolishness in it has become too excessive.
