You'd need to both find a group to carry you (they're not super difficult boss fights but they're still not soloable, especially as a new player), and some degree of luck, the shiny chance for legendaries is generally 1/20 iirc. Easiest way to do that is with remote raid passes (item that lets you join a raid battle from any location that someone on your friend list is hosting) but the main way of getting those is with currency that you either earn slowly by playing the game (1/4 the cost of a pass each day) or paying $.
Realistically you'd only be likely to get them if you dont mind dropping a decent chunk of cash on them which obviously wouldn't be worth it unless you're filthy rich

It depends on how stuff is implemented. Powerspots are supposed to give out more particles, there should be at least 2 more timed researches that give out particles, etc. However yeah, the fact that MOST of the event is tied to Dynamax significantly limits it

Here's how: install pgsharp, log in with a throwaway pogo account. You'll spawn in manhattan. Go into pgsharp settings, enable tap to walk, disable joystick. Catch whatever and spin whatever pokestops until you hit level 5 - should take a few minutes. At 5 you can choose a team, take blue or red but doesn't matter much for the purpose of getting the dogs.
When you have a team, you can join raids. Go around and do 5* raids. You will die a lot but you'll get carried by others. Catch the dogs if you can.
Sadly you won't have a lot of raid passes, but there is a way to increase your odds: make more accounts and do the same.
Shiny odds for legendary raids are 1/20. One free raid pass a day. You do the math. Good luck.

One other thing I’ve noticed you can do to make max battles easier is to place pokemon in max spots after a battle before it rotates to a legendary or gigantamax.

This has gotten even easier thanks to hosting, where you can find a spot that has a wooloo the day before or an omanyte hours before it rotates to something else, host it and have other people join you, duck out right before the battle starts or is won to prevent being blocked off of future hosting, and keep doing that over and over again until the number of pokemon placed there is enough to provide a boost that is almost or completely maxed out. Even a handful of placements almost maxes it out.

Not sure how much exactly it makes max battles easier or if it helps with solofags, but it does feel easier when you make the right preperations, especially for when it matters.

Yeah, like lets say you’re in the middle of nowhere and you really want to win a 3-6 tier dynamax raid at your local max spot. A way to even the odds thanks to remoting becoming possible is cheesing that one aspect of the game that somehow lets you not waste any resources or be blocked from rehosting for ducking out of a max raid before the raids starts or ends. As long as you are the local hoster, of course. Remote deserters will lose their remote raid passes.

By repeatedly hosting the same spot, you can prepare a spot with an attack bonus by having a bunch of people remote to you and defeat the raid boss and make a placement over and over before it becomes a more desirable raid boss to spend particles on that could mean the difference between getting that raid boss and losing.

Some aspects around that is:

>Demand
Which for random dynamax raid bosses there somehow is, so you don’t have to wait around forever to host
>People deciding to remove their pokemon from their max spot sometimes
Which is uncommon so the majority of them will stay until the stop rotates out, doesn’t make much of a difference anyway unless the attack boost actually goes down a tier
>Getting lucky with the right stop
Maybe the closest spot to you is going away tomorrow. Maybe your usual hangout just isn’t going to rotate in in time. But with spots all over the place there should almost always be one around that will be long enough to do this with.
>Assurance
Think the team of three will take care of that tier 3 raid boss without you? You can join the raid, do potentially NOTHING, and then leave when it looks like they’re doing just fine. Whether or not they win or lose, you can always find more people to host to potentially boost the attack bonus of the spot.

Tier 2 in placement (2 people) = 15% more damage
Tier 3 in placement (4 people) = 18.8% more damage

I get all my remote raiders from pokegenie, every dynamax mon that goes in or out of rotation has a listing with a gaugeable amount of interest to host for right away, with numbers in green being people hosting ahead of you, and black numbers being the amount of people waiting in line for a host.

When I first started attack bonus grinding, I noticed what had the highest amount of interest and hosted a large influx of people at high speeds for it. That was dynamax beldum. I hosted so many people that eventually the same people came back for another remote raid and it must’ve been awkward for them to come back to the same max raid that they can’t fight again.

Then I did this for squirtle, I noticed there was less demand for it. I must’ve had to wait for maybe an extra, minute or two for more people? The app lets you proceed without a full set of people too so you don’t HAVE to have 3 more people every time, but eventually people do come in.

With the new rotation with the legendary beasts, among them is one mon with a lot of demand for an obvious reason: Chansey. If you happen to find a spot that hosts one for the next couple hours you will have an easy time getting people to join you right away. Unfortunately this is also the rotation with, Wooloo and Skwovet but there are others like Darumaka and Machop that are more in demand than those ones. Even with considerable factors like shiny hunters, people taking advantage of the increased remote raid limit, I’d suggest hunting for Chansey to speedrun attack boosting if the spot can make it to the weekend, which is also luck based. I’ve noticed some power spots lasting for three days now which I haven’t seen before but can be helpful. If it’s something else, you could always wait later and see what the rotation RNG gives you.

Oh yeah, another thing I’ve noticed is that Dynamax Sableye seems to have a lot of demand from remoters too. I have no idea why. It’s rotated out anyway.

Max guard gives you 20 / 40 / 60 hp shields, depending how much you've leveled up max guard. It can be stacked up to three times so you could potentially tank up to 180 hp worth of damage.

An expection to this is Shield form Zamazenta, since he already starts with one shield he can stack a total of 4.

Also, a pokemon with shields up will aggro the opposing pokemons charged moves (the one where lines appear over your pokemon which you then can dodge by swiping)

Max spirit heals 8 / 12 / 16 percent of the users max hp to both yourself and all allies. This is why Blissey is by far the best user of this move with its gigantic hp stat.

How easy are the dynamax beasts? For attack I've got a level 40 Excadrill for Raikou and level 40 G-Max Rillaboom for Suicune (both with level 3 Max Attacks). For tanking I've got a level 40 Metagross with level 3 strike guard or a level 36 Zamazenta with level 1 guard (I assume Metagross is better until I upgrade Zamazenta). Healing I just have a level 41 Blissey with level 3 spirit. I mamaged to do Latios and Latios handily with the 2 other people I play with but they're away so I'd have to host remotes.

Not that anon but it depends on what you're raiding and how long you're willing to wait. There aren't many people who even bother hosting the easy raids and max battles so you can find groups for those quickly like that other anon was doing, but for stuff with lots of people looking to host you get put in a queue and will eventually get grouped with people (assuming the boss doesn't disappear in the meantime). In my experience the wait time for mega and 5* bosses usually ranges from 10-30 minutes depending on the situation, its very convenient if you've got a gym near your house but can be a bit tedious otherwise

If you're just going to try to get Eternatus by doing Eternamax raids and you're currently at level 1 in the pass (implying ever Eternamax raid just gives you 25 points like Gigantamax and Tier 5 Dynamax raids), you will need to do 235 raids.

Either way it depends on how easily you think you'll be able to do the raids on the weekend, and if you really want to have it upgraded as soon as possible for max battles. You probably won't be able to get enough energy during the raid hour anyway unless you live somewhere that you can do them repeatedly nonstop, so it probably couldn't hurt to do a few to get a head start
Judging by previous events I'm guessing that 5-star raids will give at least 5 ranks each so it shouldn't be too hard to level it to 90 for all the rewards, especially if you're also doing max battles.

I got my second hundo male combee the other week.

So, according to leekduck the daily max collection particle limit will be 3200 MP, ie double, during the weekend.

And defeating eternamax eternatus will grant you 100 points, ie 10 levels, on the max finale pass.

So a free to play account will have 2400 MP available from the max finale pass, and a further 500 if you finished your august go pass. You'll also be able to claim an additonal 800 MP from the four codes found on pokemon go social media.

On top of that you can prepare during today and manipulate the MP collection by collecting 800 MP, then walk and collect 300 MP twice then collect an additonal 800 MP. That way you can save 2200 MP today, then tomorrow you could get 3800 MP by collecting from 3 spots, then walking and collecting 300 MP twice during the day before you collect the last 800 MP from a spot.

That leaves you with 13 500 MP, which means you could do 16 eternatus max battles and level up the max finale pass 160 ranks.

Obviously if you opt to use some of your MP to get some gigantamax mons you missed you're gonna to level up slower but I still think it's neat that total F2P players will easily be able to reach level 90 in the max finale pass as long a you play during the weekend.

I appreciate a lot of the opportunities the passes provide to players in general, but I kinda despise how it’s another feature that demands constant optimization on the player’s end. It’s just one of the many features that exists in this game in 2025 that makes me believe this game is only designed with autists, spoofers and whales in mind. All of the F2P benefits require constant maintenance and upkeep to make sure you can actually enjoy the game in the future.

If you have the right friends you can probably join an Eternamax battle pretty frequently, especially now that gigantamax battles have hold up to 100 people. Not sure why it took them this long, but it's a welcome change since almost every time I've shown up to gmax battles there are usually 50-60 people there, which makes grouping up extremely difficult since people usually jump in whenever they feel like it.

Because there are other electric types similarly equipped in the dps charts but that are tankier. He's really good, just not quite "if I want x type, this is my only option" like the others listed. He's also really fragile, which doesn't matter much for max battles, but it does mean you basically only want him out for his gmax move and then swap back to a tank with a 0.5s quick move.

The charge meter is charged proportional to damage dealt, but the bigger bosses get a damage reduction to your fast and charge moves in the normal phase of the raid. However, the fast move can't be reduced below 1 damage, which means it will charge the meter proportionally faster.

Open with a tank (particularly Zamazenta's crowned form, unless the raid is likely to be super effective against him, since once you unlock his shield, he spawns with one). One person in your group should spam 3x shields in the max phase while everyone else dps. That will make the boss target that persons mon, so no one else should take damage. Keep repeating that, with one second person having a blissey/lapras with a heal for when people take chip damage or the first guys shields get knocked out.

Yes, you just want to spam your fast attack against the hard bosses. There are some of the 1* mons where you can time using your charge move to knock the boss out and skip the max phase entirely, but they're a cakewalk so optimizing them is less important.

Almost always, I'm pretty sure, just because it gets boosted shield power in its crown form and spawns with them. There will probably be a case where something else is better, but Zamazenta shouldn't ever be a bad choice once you've powered up its shield.

In your team of four, everyone should open with a tank that has a 0.5second fast move. For the first max phase, one person should use shields while everyone else dps. For subsequent max phases, a different person than the shielder should have a blissey or lapras (or some other very high hp mon) with a heal available if needed.

A lot of this is moot for gmax mons, though, because with the 40 (and now 100) person cap, half the people can use wooloos and charmanders and everyone else can still win.
For the 4 person capped legendary non gmax, the strategy and lineup construction is moderately important, though now that we have access to lots of good mons instead of just skwovets and Kanto starters, its not absolutely crucial.
