Mega Dragonite (who I’m just learning today people here don’t like for some reason) makes sense - it reincorporated elements of dragonair in a way that feels like both a callback and a progression of dragonite’s design at the same time.

Victreebell’s stupid Mario mouth ruins it. If they found a way to keep the fangs and made the lips less swollen it would be fine.

Since this basically confirms that one leak I think most of the megas will be fine but we’re in for some dumb ones.

Some megas do deviate from the silhouette like both of mewtwo’s for example. I don’t think there’s any one good way to make a mega - it just has to be a good design. Victreebell’s mega is like 7/10 tops on a good day…in like Kentucky. Anywhere else it’s like a 4/10 and most of that boils down to the mouth. If they wanted to make a “poison pouch” pokemon, they should have just made a new one or regional form
