There was a time skip of one year, characters are older now, Roy has a yellow Lucario and a rival-buddy with a Sableye and Dragonite (inherited from his father). So far we only knew they trained together and mastered megaevolution in the Kalos region but nothing else, we didn't even know how Roy got his Lucario.
This is a special of three episodes covering that one year gap.
