If you're going with randoms that you can't actually talk to and plan with, bringing one of each role is a good "can't be awful" strategy. With a group of four who have planned out beforehand, that's all you need, yeah. Something to soak some chip damage before the first max phase and then dps, with one healer and one dedicated tank player. Other good healers after Blissey/Lapras are Wailord and Snorlax. Entei can work in a pinch if for some reason you have that and not one of the others.

Blissey can tank, but the mega high HP it has makes it the best in slot healer, so unless you have an infinite amount of candy/stardust/max points to spend unlocking moves, Zamazenta is a better tank (since it spawns with shields once you unlock it) and Blissey is the best healer.

It *can* tank, and it is decent at it, but Zamazenta is the beefier one of the two and gets benefits for having the shield. Zacian is kind of a A- mon at both DPS and Tank roles — there are better things at both, but it's also pretty good and is definitely worth having. Other decent tanks (particularly for Eternatus) after the two dogs are Metagross, Omastar, Corviknight, and Blastoise. Latias would be an option regularly, but, being a dragon it gets eaten by dragon moves.

If you've got a consistent group of four people, and you know you're going to be tanking every time you do a hard max battle, yeah, prioritizing the shield is the way to go. If you're going with randoms or just doing gmaxs, the attack is still very good and should be levelled up eventually, because you'll definitely find times where you aren't out of shields at a second max phase and have time to do one attack after reshielding.

Remote raid passes are very expensive. If I were you (and if you can) I'd save up my coins until one of the remote bundle boxes comes out.

Get an alt, it can even be just used to knock your mons out, but it really helps.

Depends on if you got the deluxe pass or not. However, even if you got the paid pass, you still need to do around 160 Eternamax raids (mainly because you need 8900 XL candy to reach level 50).

Sort of. Dynamax bosses use one of their charge moves to hit all four attacking players at once and then use a different charge move to target individual players. The one that targets individual players can be dodged like in a regular raid, reducing its damage.

In my experience, when a single player has shields up, it makes the raid boss use its targeted move on the player with shields at the expense of doing anything else — which means that if the mon with shields has powered shields and resists the boss, it will take no damage at all.

Like a normal raid boss — dodging the targeted move reduces its damage but doesn't avoid all of it.

At the same level, he's comparable to mega rayquaza as a dragon-dps in normal raids (which means he's going to be competitive against things that aren't even weak to dragon attacks) and can be used in dmax raids, too. It's hard to imagine that anything that's coming will ever be better than it unless there ends up being a shadow event for him at some point or if we get shadow mega rayquaza. During the event, I'm going to try to get one or two of the GMax mons I missed in the past few weeks but then mostly focus on grinding him, though I'm not particularly interested in getting him maxed.

This is the most blatant p2w or pay to play event they have released. My group of 30 people was down to 10 when most people caught their Eternatus, saw the candy requirements to level it up and only a handful of people even got 3 star IV. They just stopped doing those max raids and were hunting shinies from the gmax reruns.

Define """budget""". To me a Zamazenta seems like a sound investment, powering it up uses the same amount of stardust Blisseys do. If you mean the candies, just use your rare candies, you should have loads of them if you have loads of Chansey candy.

Master League has favored those types of teams since they released fusion Necrozma, maybe even earlier if you include the niche relevance during the origin form meta, but now it's absolutely mandatory. I used to run Tapu Bulu/Ho-oh/Rhyperior and I had a lot of fun with that team, sometimes even when I lost, which is something I can't say about any of my other GBL experiences outside meme cups from back in the old days. The Kyurems were an absolute headache to deal with though, so I gave up on GBL almost entirely, and it seems like it's only gotten worse from there.

They really need to ban them or restrict them to their own format, or at least add a 3500cp open format to minimize their relevance. There's basically no reason to care about a format where most of the top Pokémon are either head and shoulders above everything else in terms of starts and moves or hard counters to the Pokémon with the best stats in the game. Even Master League Premier has never been that bad. It feels like every game you have to be ready to fight a different version of Zygarde-Complete.
